Gauge or Tension: 13 sc and 14 rows to 4" [10 cm], measured over single crochet, using suggested hook
or any size hook which will give the correct stitch gauge or tension.

Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 27* [68.5 cm]
from beg. Do Not Fasten off.
Border: Work 3 sc in corner st, work 63 sc along
top edge of center, work 3 sc in comer, work 93 sc
evenly along side edge, 3 sc in corner, work 63 sc
evenly along bottom edge of center, 3 sc in comer,
work 93 sc evenly along rem edge, join with sl st in
first sc - 324 sc.
Next Rnd: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 de in next sc,

sc, dc in each sc across to next comer, rep from *
around, join with sl st in top of first de - 3 de in each

sl st in first sc - 3'sc in each comer, 67 sc along top
and bottom, 97 sc along each side.
Now work Popcorn pattern as follows:
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in next sc, de
in next sc, *PC in next sc, de in each of next 2 sc*,
Tep from * to * to next corner sc (ending last rep with
‘one de),
#3 dc in comer sc, dc in next sc, rep from * to * to
next corner se; rep from # twice more, join with si st
in top of beg de - 3 de in each corner, 23 PC along
top and bottom, 33 PC along each side.
Rind 2: Sc in each de and PC around, working 3 sc
in each corner de, join.
Repeat these last 2 rnds twice more, then And 1

more PC on top and bottom and along each side; so
add PC's as sts become available.
Break yarn and fasten off.
Next Rind: Join Color 3 in center dc of top right
hand corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same de, sc in each de

more, join with si st in first sc.
Now work Popcorn pattern as follows:Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 de in next sc, de

(about 18° [45.5 cm] long). Break yarn and fasten off.

Head: Using Color 2, ch 4, join with si st in first ch
to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 10 sc in ring, join with sl st in first
sc - 10 sc.

through top of beg ch-3, then through working
loop;
pull working loop through, ch 1- Beg PC made, 2
de in next sc, *PC in next sc, 2 de in next so; rep
from * around, join with sl st in top of Beg PC - 5 PC.
Rind 2: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in same st, 2
hdc in each st around, join with s! st in first hdc - 30 sc.
Rnd 3: Work Beg PC, 2 de in next st, *PC, 2 de in
next st; rep from * around - 15 PC.
Break yan and fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing.
Muzzle: Using Color 4, ch 10.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to
end, ch 1, turn - 9 sc.
Row 2: Skip first sc, sc in each of next 8 sc, ch 1,
turn - 8 sc.
Continue in this manner until 2 sts rem. Do Not Turn

Work in sc evenly around outside edge of Muzzle,

Row 3: Sc in each st across, turn - 6 sc.
Repeat these last 2 rows five times more - 6 rows of
PC. Break yam and fasten off, leaving a tong tail for
sewing.
Second Back Leg: Using Color 2, ch 4.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to

Row 2: Ch 3, PC in next st, dc in last st, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in each st across, turn.
Repeat these last 2 rows 5 times more - 6 rows of
PC. Break yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing.
First Front Leg: Using Color 2, ch 7.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to
‘ond - 6 sc.
Row 2: Beg PC in first st, de in next st, *PC in next st,
dc in next st; rep from * once more, ch 1, tum - 3 PC.
Row 3: Sc in each sc across, turn - 6 sc.
Repeat these last 2 rows 5 times more - 6 rows of
PC. Break yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing.
Second Front Leg: Using Color 2, ch 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to

Ears: (make 2)
Inner Ear: Using Color 4, ch 7.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to
end, ch 4, tum - 6 sc.
Row 2: Sc in each st to end, ch 1, tum.
Row 3: Skip first so, sc in next sc and in each sc
across, tum - 5 sc.
Repeat last row until 2 sts rem.
Break yam and fasten off.
Outer Ear: Using Color 2, work as for Inner Ear, but
starting with ch 8, and do not fasten off.
Hold both Inner Ear and Outer Ear tog and using
Color 2, si st (working through both thicknesses), in
bottom comer, then work in sc evenly around out-
side edge, with 3 sc in each comer.
Break yam and fasten off, leaving long tail for
sewing.
Make second ear the same.
; To Assemble: Using color picture as guide, sew all
* Pieces of lamb together, easing pieces to fit as
> desired.
‘Sew lamb in place in front of fence as desired.
Using Color 4 and Satin st, make a hoof at the bot-
tom of each leg.
Using Color 5 and Satin st, make a nose at tip of
muzzle, then backstitch mouth.
Using Colors 4 and § and Satin st, embroider eye in
canter of head.

Using Color 3 and picture as a guide,

Using Colors 6 and 7 and Lazy Daisy stitch, make
flowers as desired in each bottom comer of bianket.
Using Color 2, make French Knot center for each
flower.
Using Color 3, backstitch stems and grass for each
group of flowers.
Balloons:(make 4 using Color 3, one using Color 2)
Ch 2, work 3 ac in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, tum.
Row 1: Work 2 sc in first sc, sc across to last sc, 2
sc in last sc, ch 1, tum - 5 sc.
Rows 5-14: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, tum.
Row 15: Sc2tog, sc in each of next 7 sts, sc2tog - 9
sc.
Repeat this last row until 3 sts rem, Do Not Tum.
Work evenly in sc around entire outside edge, join
with sl st in first sc.
Break yam and fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing.
Make rem balloons the same.
Sew balloons to blanket as desired.
Using Color 5 and picture as guide, backstitch string
from each balloon to fence post.
