Dear Friend,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is
wonderful to know that the Lord is not done with any of us! He is working to
bring us into His perfect will. But in order to know what that perfect will is, we
must 1st view life through the eyes of His understanding. For example, I noticed
in the Scriptures that the Bible referred to the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000
men in a different way than most of us would. John 6:23 says, "(Howbeit there
came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat
bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:). Most of us would have called it
"the place where He fed the multitudes with 5 loaves and 2 little fishes," or "the
place where He taught them a great lesson on provision," or "the place where He
healed the sick and diseased" (Matthew 14:14). But instead John said it was a
place where "...the Lord had given thanks." Is it so out of the ordinary for a
man to give thanks to God for what was given to him? Is being thankful such an
odd thing in the lives of people that of all the things the Lord did that day, John
referred to it as the place where "the Lord had given thanks?" That small word
has such a powerful impact!
There are things we all can give thanks for, I'm sure. Jesus said the sun
rises on the evil and on the good, and He sends rain on the just and on the
unjust. So we're all on this small planet, effected by the weather, the
governments, and relationships. But to be a child of God brings us into a
different realm. The Lord takes a personal interest in the welfare of each of His
children.
When the Lord found me many years ago, I was spiritually lost. I have
great parents who loved me and my brother and three sisters. They sacrificed a
lot to keep us alive and blessed. But I had to try things and taste things and find
out about things... usually to my own hurt! They had to bail me out several
times! But then the Lord answered my parents prayers and picked me up and
turned my life around for the better. Though I have a wonderful father and
mother, one day a new Father came into my life; at least I finally recognized
Him as my heavenly Father. And I began reading about the example His Son
gave us: how to live, how to answer people, how to have a better attitude and
interact with people with kindness. Scripture reading became my delight. I
remember one day my car was in the garage getting fixed and I walked home
from work (it was about a 4 or 5 mile walk!). But I was reading a Bible I
borrowed from my dad all the way home. Before, I would have complained all
the way home. But something got a hold of me! I was discovering a new
lifestyle. I began to read what the Lord did for us, how He died for our sins on
the cross. I read that there is a coming day of judgment, but whosoever believes
on the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved! It became personal to me. It made me
want to change my way of living. It changed my outlook. I became thankful that
the Lord would pardon me from my sins, which were many. I remember reading
from the book of Revelation that day, how it says, "Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to
him, and will sup with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20). I could hear
His gentle and "still small voice," and I opened my hearts' door. Needless to say,
He came in and shared with me His daily bread, the Bread of Life. I believe the
Lord has a word for every person who will open their heart to His voice. It is not
too late to have the Father speak to you! He loves to speak with you. Every time
I see my dad he loves to speak with me. The same with God the Father! He
shares His plans and thoughts with us through the Bible. He is gracious and very
patient with us. He is not willing that ANY should perish. So why would you
hesitate? Come to Him today, for He will in no wise cast you out! There is no
sin so great that the Lord Jesus cannot conquer. If you let Him come into your
heart, you will be saying things Jesus said, like, "Father, I thank Thee that
Thou hearest me. And I knew that Thou hearest me always:" (John 11:41 &
42).
Let me invite you to our church services. We meet on Sunday at 10 am and
7 pm and Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Come expecting to hear the voice of your
Savior. He loves you! May God richly bless you today and always!
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
