GMAT and/or GRE Results


BU's GMAT codes vary by program, please see the chart below for your degree. Test
scores are valid for 5 years. Upload results into online application.
BU's GRE codes is 3113
GRE math subject test (required for admission to the PhD in Mathematical Finance
program).

Toefl or IELTS Results


BU's codes is 3087, department codes is 02.
TOEFL: Minimum Score of 600 on the PBT, 250 on the CBT, or 95 on the IBT are
recommended.
IELTS: A student must score a minimum of 6.5 across each band.
PTE: Because the PTE test is new, we are currently developing updated standards for our
requirements. Because of this, we do not have a minimum score at this time. Please check
back as the school year progresses for more information.
PTE/TOEFL/IELTS results are valid for 2 years.
Waiver Policy: International applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the
U.S, Great Britain, Canada or Australia, or who have not obtained a degree in one of these
countries, are required to take either the TOEFL or IELTS exam.

* Please note, international students who are looking to study in one of our part-time programs (Professional
Evening MBA or MS in Investment Management) must have a visa that allows them to do so, such as an
employer-sponsored working visa.
