expanded deck and deal out the cards as usual. (See

they may instead be considered a sort of mini-
spread that comments on but doesn’t directly inter-
act with the cards above.
The following describes a method of laying out a
Grand Tableau (either 8x4+4 or 9x4), using the
eight new cards as a separate set to comment on
the traditional 36 cards. This method gives you an
opportunity to explore the new cards without los-
ing focus on the original 36. For this method you
need to keep the eight new cards in their own pile.

8x4+4 or 9x4, as shown opposite) with the tradi-
