Inteligencia Artificial

Artificial intelligence has evolved since its origins in the 1940s based on theories of logic, philosophy, and economics. The goal of AI is to develop processing that simulates human intelligence to perform tasks and learn. While the idea of machines performing intelligent tasks like humans has been a goal since the 1950s, true AI emerged from the influential work of Alan Turing in 1950 which opened a new field of information science. Today, AI exhibits intelligence through reasoning, planning, learning, and understanding language, with applications across fields like computer science, finance, medicine, customer service, and games.

In producing artificial intelligence was born in 1943 and is based on different

theories of logic, philosophy and economy among others. Today, the goal of
artificial intelligence is to a develop a type of processing simulates human
intelligence to perform tasks to learning.
The idea of building a machine can perform tasks require intelligence human is one
of the goals of artificial intelligence, because it is expected these machines not only
perform the task with the intelligence but also to acquire knowledge, for this reason
from 1956 systems seeking to improve its data structure and algorithms
development.
Artificial Intelligence emerges definitively from
some works published in the 1940s that did not
have great repercussion, but from the influential
work in 1950 of Alan Turing, British
mathematician, a new discipline of the
information sciences is opened. Although the
fundamental ideas go back to the logic and
algorithms of the Greeks, and to the mathematics
of the Arabs, several centuries before Christ, the
concept of obtaining artificial reasoning appears
in the fourteenth century. At the end of the 19th
century, sufficiently powerful formal logics were
obtained and by the middle of the 20th century,
machines capable of using such logic and
solution algorithms were obtained.
It is the intelligence exhibited by machines that
perform tasks such as: reasoning, planning,
learning and understanding language. No one
expects that today, or in the near future, a
technology can match human intelligence, but
artificial intelligence has great implications in the
way we live our lives.

Ideas more basic goes back to the Greeks, BC, Aristotle (384-322 b.c.) was the
first to describe a set of rules that describe a part of the functioning of the mind for
rational conclusions, and Ctesibius of Alexandria (250a. C.) I built the first machine
self-controlling, a regulator of water flow (rational but without reasoning)
There will be Artificial Intelligence when we are unable to distinguish between a
human and a computer in a conversation program blind ". Told by Alan Turing in
1936
Anecdotally, many artificial intelligence researchers argue that "intelligence is a
program capable of being executed regardless of the machine that computer or
brain is running it "
 It is distinguished because it uses numeric symbols

 The behavior of the programs is not explicitly written by the algorithm.

 Reasoning based on knowledge

 Applicability of data and structured malk problems

 Of the conclusions of a declarative program are not fixed and are

determined partially by the intermediate conclusions reached during the

considerations to the specific problems.

 With artificial intelligence, the possibilities of error are almost zero and
greater precision is obtained.
 Artificial intelligence finds applications in space exploration. Intelligent robots
can be used to explore space. They are machines and therefore
have the capacity to withstand the hostile environment of interplanetary
space
 The intelligence of the machines can be exploited to explore the depths of
the oceans. These machines can be useful to overcome the limitations that
humans have
 Smart machines can replace human beings in many areas of work. Robots
can do certain laborious tasks. The meticulous activities,
which have been carried out by humans can be assumed by robots
 The detection of fraud in systems based on smart cards is possible with the
use of AI. It is also used by financial institutions and banks to organize and
manage records.
 Organizations use avatars that are digital assistants that interact with users,
thus saving the need for human resources.
 Intelligent machines can be used to perform certain dangerous tasks.
They can adjust their parameters, such as their speed and time, and be
made to act quickly, not affected by factors that affect human beings.
 The biggest advantage of artificial intelligence is that the machines do not
require sleep or breaks, and they are capable of running without stopping
 Machines can store huge amounts of data, but storage, access and retrieval
is not as effective as in the case of the human brain.
 If robots begin to replace humans in all fields, they will eventually lead to
unemployment. People will be left with nothing to do. So much empty time
can result in its destructive use
 If the control of the machines comes into the wrong hands, it can cause
destruction. The machines will not think before acting. Therefore, they can
be programmed to do things wrong, or for mass destruction.
 Apart from all these disadvantages of AI, there is a fear that robots will
replace humans. Ideally, human beings should remain the owners of the
machines. However, if things turn upside down, the world will turn into
chaos. Smart machine can be smarter than us, they could enslave us and
start ruling the world.
 With a robotic partner with AI, we probably do not need to study or learn
languages. Overall, he can learn everything.
 How many times in a conversation do we have the name of a famous actor
or singer on the tip of the tongue? We used to break our heads together.
Today, with mobile in hand, doubts are very easy to dispel. Maybe we are
relegating our memory to the background…
There are experts who seriously consider
incorporating "emotive" components as status
indicators in order to increase the efficiency of
intelligent systems in certain situations.

A difference of humans, there are terms that

Artificial Intelligence can not understand or
understand human concepts such as love,
marriage, the meaning of life, free will, affection
or human emotions.

Particularly, in the case of mobile robots, it is

necessary that they have something similar to
emotions in order to know (in each moment and
at least) what to do next.

By having "feelings" and, at least potentially, "motivations," they can act in

accordance with their "intentions." So, a robot could be equipped with devices that
control its internal environment; for example, that they "feel hungry" when they
detect that their energy level is going down or that they "feel scared" when it is too
low.

Even "pain" or "physical suffering" could be introduced, in order to avoid the

awkwardness of functioning, such as putting your hand inside a chain of gears or
jumping from a certain height, which would cause irreparable damage .
 Computer Science

IA researchers have created many tools to

solve the most difficult problems in computer
science. Many of their research has been
adopted by the main branch of computer
science and are no longer considered part of
the IA

 Finance
Banks use artificial intelligence to organize
operations, invest in stocks, and manage
properties. In August 2001, robots beat humans
in a simulated financial trade competition.
Financial institutions have used artificial neural
network systems to detect out-of-the-ordinary
payments or claims, by marking them to be
investigated by humans.

 Hospitals and medicine

A medical clinic can use artificial intelligence to
organize bed assignments, create staff
turnover, and provide medical information and
other important tasks.

Other tasks in medicine that can be potentially

performed by AI include:

Interpretation of computer-assisted radiologies.

typical application is the detection of a tumor;
 Customer Service
It can be used by companies to reduce their
operation and training costs. A main technology
for such systems is natural language
processing.

Similar techniques can be used in call center

America in just 2 years in the artificial
intelligence, we refer to algorithms in which
they have worked for 40 or 50 years.
However, the development was not very fast
until two or three years ago we saw huge

regions do, the threat of ever more disruptive environments.

human representations like Alexa, but little more. Instead, the future seems
very different.

Sophia: the robot to which Saudi Arabia granted citizenship!

The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopted it, granting it official
nationality. It was presented to the United Nations as a proposal for the
Sustainable Development Goals.
Several netizens have expressed their admiration for this '
human robot', stating that they consider it attractive.
Its creator David Hanson, founder of the innovation
company Hanson Robotics, was inspired by the
physique and behavior of both the actress
Audrey Hepburn and his wife.

Could robots become more human?

Experts say that in the coming years these artificial entities will replace humans in
social roles, how could they be successfully integrated into our society?
Some consider that interacting with robots is difficult due to their lack of emotions.
The expression of emotions plays an important role in social interactions because it
shows how we feel in front of people

Understanding how social interactions work, according to Pizarro, can give us

clues about how to design robots. An important characteristic of human
relationships is that we react emotionally to the good or bad behavior of other
people.

Therefore, the key for robots to be accepted into our society is

for Pizarro, that they are able to understand the
signals of the social world and can modify their behavior
in response to them. This would facilitate social and
technological progress, and help us to understand
that humans are perhaps nothing more than complex
machines capable of creating other complex machines
that react and learn in a similar way.

The year of artificial intelligence!

The forecasts in the technological sector suggest that in 2016 the connected and
much more productive lifestyle will be strengthened.

Hollywood was right. Although humanity took longer than expected, it finally
reached the stage of the massification of artificial intelligence. A recent study in the
United States indicated that eight out of ten consumers would like to use
technology to improve their vision, memory and hearing. It is not a minor fact if one
takes into account that the giants of technology no longer plan prototypes on a
small scale, today they develop export devices.

Artificial intelligence will also touch education. Fernando Valenzuela, president of

Cengage Learninig Latinomérica, commented: "Education has
to accelerate its transformation, given that although
the development of a wide range of applications
that guarantee access, quality, student participation
and connection with the topics of greater relevance
the ecosystem needs to mature and expand its impact
Sophia was activated on April 19,
2015.1 is inspired by actress Audrey
Hepburn, and is known for her
appearance and human behavior
compared to previous robotic variants.
According to the manufacturer, David
Hanson, Sophia has artificial
intelligence (AI), visual data processing
and facial recognition. Sophia also
mimics human gestures and facial
expressions and is able to answer
certain questions and have simple
conversations on predefined topics.

The robot uses Alphabet INC's voice recognition technology, and is designed with
learning capabilities. Sophia's intelligence software is designed by SingularityNET.
Your IA software analyzes conversations and extracts data that allows you to
improve your responses over time. is conceptually similar to the computer
program ELIZA, which was one of the First attempts to simulate a human
conversation.

Hanson designed Sophia to be a suitable companion for seniors in senior citizens '
homes, or to help crowds in parks or major events. It is hoped that it will finally be
able to interact with other humans sufficiently to gain social skills.
