Scope and Delimitation of The Study

This study will focus on students at Sto. Tomas National High School who are struggling in mathematics. It will divide students in Grade 7-Quezon into an experimental group that receives a remedial mathematics program and a control group. The purpose is to examine the effectiveness of the remedial program in helping students improve their mathematics performance, making it easier for teachers to instruct students, and reducing administrators' worries about low student performance.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

This study is experimental in nature and it will cover and focus on the students of Sto. Tomas
National High School especially to the students who are not performing well in their class. Many
students in STNHS have problems when it comes to their mathematics subject, so the need for
Remedial Program in this school is convenient. Remedial Programs are courses that are designed
to help students learn developmental skills in Math, writing and reading so they are prepared for
college-level courses (Boyington, 2015).
This study will be delimited to the Grade 7-Quezon students wherein, the research will
divide the learners into two, which are the experimental group and the control group.

Importance of the Study


The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of Remedial Program in Grade 7-
Quezon. Remedial Programs have been established to help the students appreciate their lessons in
Mathematics Subject so that it will be easy for them to understand it and they will learn to love
this subject. The result of this study will help the students to improve their performance in
Mathematics; the teachers to easily teach the students and administrators to not be worried about
the low performance of the students.
