Mr. Devendra Gupta with his friends Prateek Singhal and Vivek Pandey
incorporated Ecozen Technologies in 2010 with the objective to provide energy
access in an efficient manner to the masses. Ecozen is innovating at an intersection
of clean-tech & internet of things. Currently they have two products- Ecofrost &
Ecotron. Ecofrost is a portable solar powered cold-room based on thermal energy
storage, which can maintain low temperatures without any backup power.
Secondly, they offer a smart controller “Ecotron” for irrigation pumps which
complements their offerings in the solar/agri-solutions space which is a major
market shareholder. They are headquartered at Pune and have major operations
at Raipur. They are also spread across other locations such as Hyderabad,
Chandigarh & Delhi. Ecozen was selected by Villgro Innovation Foundation for
their SEED program. Ecozen Solutions idea is among world’s top 30 business ideas
at Stanford’s E-boot camp, they have also won Dow Sustainability Innovation
Challenge at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.
