A BOREHOLE
1 Conduction of thorough geophysical survey at site accompanied
with relevant technical report
NOTE: GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY EXAMINATION
COMPLETE WITH REPORT MUST BE CARRIED OUT
PRIOR TO BOREHOLE DRILLING. THAT IS THIS
BILL OF QUANTITIES IS SUBJECT TO SLIGHT
ADJUSTMENT DEPENDING ON THE OUTCOME OF THE
GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY
2 Mobilisation of personel and equipment
3 Setting up of equipment for drilling and dismantling.
Construction of mud pit
4 Drilling of 230mm diameter hole for installation of 150mm diameter
casing pipe to a maximum depth of 230m (refer to the Vertical Electrical
Sounding VES 1 location as per the attached Geophysical Investigation
report)
5 Supply and install 150mm casing pipe
6 Supply and install 150mm Stainless steel screen
7 Supply and install 40mm diameter white tigre pressure riser mains pipe,
complete with stainless steel sockets.
8 Supply and install gravel packing round the 150mm diameter casings/screen
9 Submersible pump 3HP with starter and all accessories of 5m³/hr Capacity
Head 120m complete with 2.5mm2 electrical cable
10 Development of borehole till the water is clean and free of sand
11 Conduction of yield test for 24hrs complete with test report under the
supervision of the Consultants/Client's representatives
12 Water level electrode complete with cable and probes

13 Cement grouting of borehole annular space up to 10m from the top surface

6 Laboratory test of treated water by two independent laboratories
approved by the consultants
7 Piping accessories: pipes, fittings and valves for various connection from
borehole through aeration, filtration to storage tank
8 Automatic central motor control panel to control all the system all
inclusive with float switches
10 Electrical cables
9 Commissioning and training of operator
10 Provision for the construction of water treatment plant house roof

Note: There should be no covering on the aeration tank area.
the exact location/dimension of aeration tank area shall be
advised and decided on site.
