promptly at dismissal time.
From October 18 – 22, all students will be photographed for the Salinlahi, the Middle School
Yearbook. Please continue reading the parent bulletin for information regarding photo packages if
you are interested in purchasing one.
On Friday, October 22 the school will be celebrating Filipiniana. Included in the bulletin is a copy
of the letter from the Philippine Cultural Club with additional details. We hope you will support
the Philippine Cultural Club in their endeavor.
From October 25 – November 2 we will be on school holiday. The students and teachers have
earned a well deserved break. Classes resume on Wednesday, November 3. Have a relaxing
holiday!
Due to the scheduled IT system maintenance work, we would like to inform you that the Cashier’s Office
will be closed on October 28 & 29,2010 and will resume work on November 02,2010. Please be guided
accordingly.
They should take their children to their own pediatrician for diagnosis and treatment and should only let
the children return to school when the eyes are completely better or, preferably, when the doctor gives
them clearance. Please ask the children to come to the school clinic on return to school for our clearance
to return to class.
The school continues to clean all classrooms and common surfaces with a disinfectant solution at the end of
every school day. We do, however, rely on the assistance of parents to ensure that we keep the infection
rate down to an absolute minimum.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in our efforts to ensure the safety and well being of the
children.
Filipiniana
Filipiniana Day is fast approaching. It will be on Friday, October 22, 2010. Part of
the annual celebration is a parade.
Students who would like to join the parade should wear Filipiniana attire or the
Filipiniana shirt.

The ISM ISTA Festival will take place November 19-21 (Friday to Sunday), and will involve as many as 100 students from
other countries, as well as our own ISM participants. As with any event, the whole ISM community has the opportunity
to get involved in this Middle School event. The most significant way for the ISM community to get involved is to pro-
vide housing for the visiting students. If you are able to host some students, you may contact the ATAC Office and/or
the Fine Arts Office at [email protected] and/or [email protected] . Most guests will arrive on November 18th
and will depart on either November 21st or 22nd. If you would like to help out with organization or facilitation during
the ISTA Festival, you may also contact Vicki Close in the Fine Arts Office ([email protected]) for more details on how
you can help.
We look forward to this fantastic event, and this excellent opportunity for ISM to “show Manila proud”!
