to be found where he was. when he was found, it appeared that he had frozen to death.
Scene: Boulder City Pool. December 198X
While swimming, the kids notice a man with binoculars peering into the pool building. At first,
they dismiss it as a pervy old man spying on scantily clad young women(hermit in the woods).
then they notice he is talking to someone. Upon investigation, it sounds like he is talking to
himself in some unfamiliar language. (If kids succeed in spying, they will see he is talking in a
walkie talkie.) They dismiss it and go back home for the evening.
At home (siblings) mom has left dinner in the now cooling oven. The kids eat dinner, and end
the night by watching (Popular TV Show) before going to sleep.
Mystery: Basically, in very broad strokes, a favorite teacher disappears from the middle school
where all the kids go. They have been seeing a man around the pool where they frequently
swim who keeps looking into the building. When the teacher disappears, he vanishes as well.
While the kids are in the teachers room after he disappears, they find a notebook under his desk
with strange writing, strange pictures, and the word “Super eon” scrawled hastily in large letters
on the last page before the writing stops.
(Whatever the kids do, they will not be able to find any meaningful clues in the libraries, the only
thing they will find is the definition of multiple eons of time) One of the kid’s fathers is a scientist
at the Loop and over dinner mentions a new project that the DoD is working on, calling it the
thing that will change how the cold war is happening. If the kid probes, the dad, vaguely
annoyed, will call it “project S” and then continue talking to the mother.
Project S- Superion is a government funded research project surrounding the alien crash at
Area 51. Technology has become advanced enough to be able to use the alien technology
found at the crash site.
Veronica, “Rodney” Rocker (Cali)- Secret Crush on High School QB (Named Steve Harrington)
Parent wrongfully implicated in disappearance of teacher.
NPC 1- Karen. Widowed mother. Has a perm. Your Father passed away in a freak aviation
accident when you were 6. Your mom works 12s, 6pm-6am, Dealer/cocktail waitress in Vegas,
30 minutes away, and subsequently you only see her on her days off, Saturday and Sundays.
Even then, she spends a lot of time sleeping and worrying over bills and pays little attention to
the day to day of your life.
NPC 2- Burt. Your best friend, even if you don’t hang out all that much. Ginger, unkempt fro. His
parents are very over protective and he can’t be out past 7 in the summer, or 4 in the winter.
Subsequently, he spends most of his time indoors playing Legend of Zelda on his NES and
secretly enjoys D&D, even though his parents think it is “Of the Devil”. His favorite band is Rush,
followed by Dio, but his parents make him listen to ABBA and The Osmunds. Trying to involve
him more, but he is afraid of getting in trouble.
Den- music store employee. a few grades older than you, 16. Introduced you to all the music
you like.
Napoleon “Nap” (Shilo) age 12 - Loves to spend time after school watching Mister Douglas do
science experiments.
NPC 1- Chess Club Rival & best friend, Chong. Well dressed, his family dresses him. preppy.,
his favorite piece of clothing is his Members only jacket. He is considerably more wealthy than
anyone you know. He has the newest versions of everything, and every console. He is always
inviting you over, and consequently you spend more time at his house than anywhere else,
aside from the arcade. He is fairly popular, people wonder why he hangs out with you.
NPC 2 - Henry, the high school bully. 15. Drinks beers out in the quarry. Rides a BMX bike that
is faster than yours and can always catch you, no matter where you run. Steals cigarettes from
his parents and smokes them. Thinks its particularly funny to put gum in your hair. His stepdad
beats him if he catches him at home, so subsequently he is constantly prowling the
neighborhood, looking for trouble.
Anchor - Ned, 28, Graduated from high school, still lives in his parents basement. Has been
working on creating video games on his commodore 64. Always smells a little like corn chips
and popcorn. Very thin whispy mustache, and his thinning long hair is never clean.
Relation to Veronica- She stood up for me once and got Henry to leave me alone.
