1) Check engine idle RPM, oil flow in rocker bearings, and play between rocker arm and valves with piston at TDC. 2) If oil flow is okay and play is observed, loosen rocker bearing screws, run engine to tighten screws, and recheck play. 3) If oil flow is not okay, change oil and air filters and clean passages, then reassemble and check for noise.
