Introduction to specialization:
Chemical industries are defined as those industries that use oil, natural
gas, their derivatives, salts, minerals, air and sand (high purity white
silica) as raw materials for the production of innumerable organic and
inorganic compounds and products, highlighting the importance of
these products as the main axis of industrial development. In the
production and processing of raw materials on which the
manufacturing industries depend and which represent a wide and
diversified base of consumer products such as pharmaceutical and
food industries, detergent industry, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides,
Metal and glass industries, textile and plastic (plastics) and leather
and rubber and paper, also highlights the importance in providing
natural gas processing, water desalination and purification and sewage
treatment chemicals.
The oil and natural gas industry is the cornerstone of the production
base in Kuwait. The oil and gas resources have been exploited to
achieve the prestigious position of the state among the industrialized
countries. The oil refining sector is an important factor which
contributes significantly to supporting Kuwaiti exports and increasing
the added value of crude oil. Mining industries also contributed
Kuwait's value-added products, where she worked to increase the
diversification of sources of national income and the development and
training of national cadres in all mining activities and job
opportunities for them in the effective development of their homeland
to participate. Also it contributed to the lifting of the welfare of the
Kuwaiti citizen.

1- Traditional Chemical
Industries:
This category covers
chemical industries interested
in the manufacture of acids,
bases and salts.
2 - Organic chemical industries: -
This type of chemical industry is concerned with the production
of intermediate materials for the petrochemical industries such as
phenol, chemicals, zeolins, olefins and epoxy oxidants for the
manufacture of glues, resins, plastics and other polymers.
3 - The final chemical industries: -
Industries that are concerned with the manufacture of fertilizers,
perfumes, soap, detergents and other products necessary for
modern life.
Accompanying this specialization:
I say and cross with all my heart that this specialty of I love the
disciplines that I was young I wish to join, I asked one of my
relatives why this specialty? I answered in my life I knew many
things, including cosmetics and perfumes, how they were made of
petroleum industries and their relation to what we use in our daily
lives. Also, everything around us has to do with chemistry and
industry.
Study in this specialty of the most beautiful studies, especially the
relationship of chemistry with the petroleum products that
characterize Kuwait.
Job title at graduation:
Chemical has a great role in
industrial development and
conomic renaissance due to the huge contribution of the
petroleum, chemical and petrochemical industries to the global
economy.
The expansion of base metals and materials from non-petroleum
raw materials (such as phosphate, uranium, iron . is another
dimension of specialization.
Thus, the work of the chemical is mainly concentrated in the field
of petroleum, chemical and petrochemical industries, in addition
to metallurgical industries, desalination and treatment of brackish
water and power generation.
Section Vision:
The department raises the wheel of progress and improves the
standard of living through the graduation of qualified chemists as
well as conducting applied scientific research.

The department seeks to raise the level of university students to
become a good product through:
- Educate him in proportion to the needs of the industry.
- Be in the form of a building blocks of the society and its
development.
- Respects the customs and beliefs of his community and himself
to boast.
- Be a leader in applied research.
The future of employment after graduation:
Kuwait has started an industrial industrial revival through the
development of the petrochemical industry, which is involved in the
manufacture of plastic, pharmaceuticals and many uses.
So I hope in the future to join the job that fulfills my ambitions and
allows me to apply everything.
