DUMP VALVE TESTING PROCEDURE.

IMPORTANT: DUMP VALVE TO BE OPERATED WITH


CHIEF OFFICERS PERMISSION.

1. SLOP TANK TO HAVE POSITIVE PRESSURE.


2. OPEN THE DUMP VALVE SLOWLY.
3. IG SHOULD NOT LEAK i.e. NO BUBLING TO TAKE PLACE HENCE ENSURING
THAT THE WATER SEAL IS WORKING PROPERLY.
4. RELEASE THE IG PRESSURE IN SLOP TANK BY ISOLATING THE IG VALVE
AND VENT THE IG VIA P.V VALVE.
5. TAKE A BUCKET OF WATER POUR IT IN THE PIPE, THE DUMP VALVE
MUST NOT OVERFLOW HENCE ENSURING THAT THE PIPE IS CLEAR OF
ANY OBSTRUCTIONS.
6. POUR 25% ANIT FREEZE IN THE DUMP VALVE PRIOR ENTERING
FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
