ABSTRACT

The following program is an initial understanding of the primary goals used to develop a sports complex that can host international
events and competitions specifically the Southeast Asian Games (SEAG), to support Pilipino athletes, create opportunities and elevate health
awareness for the citizens. There are eighteen (18) buildings included in this project to satisfy the requirements of the SEA Games and the needs
of the athletes and users namely: the Multi- Purpose Outdoor Stadium, Multi- Purpose Indoor Stadium, Sports Hall, combat Center, Lawn bowl,
Bowling and Billiards, Gymnastics Center, Velodrome, Indoor Swimming Stadium, Archery range, Baseball and Soft ball, Indoor Roller
Hockey Field, Convention Center, Recovery Center, Commercial Center, Administration Building, Dormitories, and Villas. The total lot area
of the proposed redevelopment of the Binirayan Sports Complex is sixty (60) hectares. There are areas intended for future developments like
schools, hotels and additional sports facilities considering the possibility to host the Olympics.

The main goal of this program is to cater a minimum of twenty- two (22) sports of the SEA Games in one site. This development will
open job opportunities for the Antiqueños and the neighboring Provinces, boost tourism, and create economic stability for the whole Panay
Island. It will serve as a breaking point for us Filipinos to compete with the other countries through providing world class facilities and amenities.

The proposed site consists of two (2) barangays halfway combined namely, Barangay 5 and Barangay Cansadan- Tubudan. It is 2.4
kilometers away from the San Jose de Buenavista Bus Terminal and 2.9 kilometers from the ongoing redevelopment of the Evelio Javier Airport.
The site is relatively flat along the four (4) meters wide barangay roads of the two barangays. There is also no record or major landslides and
flooding in the area making it an ideal site for the redevelopment.
