Birdhouse Dimensions Guide

This document provides nest box dimensions for various bird species. It includes the floor size, box height, entrance height and size, and recommended height above the ground for each species. Dimensions vary depending on the size of the bird species. For example, robins and swallows need smaller boxes only 6-10 feet high while barred owls and woodpeckers need larger boxes up to 30 feet high. Some birds like ospreys, hawks and owls prefer open platforms to enclosed boxes.
