 Students create Frayer Method graphic organizer for topic words: Pangaea, continent,
water, and land
 Students engage in identification of the 7 continents and 5 great oceans as a whole group.
 Students engage in whole-group online research and complete blank map of the world.
The names of each continent (and short, noteworthy information on each) is discussed
and written on their maps.
 Students play continent game online (http://world-geography-
games.com/continents.html) Students come up individual and play speed rounds
identifying the 7 continents.
Application
 Students complete/fill in a blank map of the world independently, complete with
continents and oceans.
