PM 218 E Hydro Clean

HAVER & BOECKER has developed the HAVER-Hydro-Clean, a high pressure cleaning system for sand, gravel, and other materials. It uses rotating washers with high pressure water jets to intensively clean particles between 0-80mm at throughput rates of 50-400 tons per hour with minimal water and energy usage. The modular and compact design allows for flexible installation and integration into existing plants. The HAVER-Hydro-Clean provides effective cleaning with low wear and operating costs.

HAVER

HAVER -Hydro-Clean

Based on years of experience in

processing plants, systems and
components for process
engineering, HAVER &
BOECKER has developed a
system for cleaning raw material
mixtures with particle sizes of
0 - 80 mm, to comply with the
TL MIN-StB 2000 and DIN 4226
norms regarding deleterious
material content in stone
aggregates for concrete and
mortar.

The result of this technological

challenge is called
HAVER -Hydro-Clean – a high
pressure cleaning system for Stony material contaminated with dirt
production rates of 50 to 400 tons
of output material per hour. It is
ideal for the sand and gravel
industry, and the natural stone and
recycling industrie.

The material throughput rates are

adjustable according to the level
of contamination. Only 0.12 to
0.30 cubic meters of circulation
water are needed to clean 1 Tonne
of dirt or clay contaminated
material with an energy
requirement of 0.3 to 0.5 kWh.

The modular construction of the

HAVER -Hydro-Clean assures
flexible adaption to existing local

conditions and allow rapid
installation. This makes it a single
solution, or it may be added to an
existing process, or alternatively washing results

The central component of this
development is a vertically 1
supported vessel in which the dirty
raw material enters from the side.
The material is spread and washed
inside the washing chamber by
high pressure water jets that are 2
fixed to a rotating washer head.
3
The operating pressure of 40 bars
to 200 bars intensively interacts 4
with the material and cleans the
stone particles of stubborn dirt and 1. input material
breaks-up agglomerates. The 2. washing rotor

The distance between the washing 6. dirty water
rotor and the material bed is
variable and allows the system to
be optimally adapted to various
material types.

The resulting dirty water then

flows through plastic insert screen
meshes, which are installed
inside the exterior jacket of the Illustration of the HAVER-Hydro-Clean principle
washing vessel, and then flows out
of the washing chamber.

Level sensors located at the

material inlet provide exact data
to the PLC control unit, thereby
allowing a regulated material
flow into the system and assuring
consistent quality.

The remaining dirt material still

on the particles may be rinsed
off by downstream washing
classification.

When compared to conventional

systems, hardly any wear occurs
due to the water-jet “cleaning
tool“. The maintenance-friendly
design of the HAVER -Hydro-
Clean allows easy exchange of
the few standard components that
are subject of wear.

interior, its construction is laid out
to suit modular plant concepts.
Based on the container module
design, it provides for considerable
savings in space and weight during
the installation of new plants, or
when integrated into existing
plants. The flexible range of

HAVER -Hydro-Clean

With the HAVER -Hydro-Clean as

the core component, HAVER &
BOECKER developed the
washing system for processing
minerals shown in the middle
diagram. When one compares
this innovative process from
HAVER & BOECKER with the
widely used conventional washing
systems shown in the upper
diagram, one quickly notices that
the technical investment in
processing is significantly reduced.
As the opertaor, this system brings
you direct advantages:
– fewer machines
– reduced space requirements
– fewer parts that wear Conventional washing process
– reduced water circulation
amounts
– reduced energy consumption
– smaller and lighter structural
steel construction

In a addition to the direct advan-

tages and benefits, there are also
numerous peripheral advantages.
For example:
– reduced building height
– shorter belt conveyors
– quicker adaption to material
input changes (fewer minutes)
– quicker installation times
– moving the system is possible
when needed, etc.
For you as the plant operator these
advantages lead to significant Washing process using the HAVER-Hydro-Clean
financial benefits, also with respect
to investment costs and during the
entire service lifetime of the plant.
This innovative process also
allows material processing to be
again economically feasible at
locations where other plant con-
cepts have long been unprofitable.
Through great space savings and
compactness, many plants once
again become feasible with this
concept. Through this economi-
cally and technically optimized
plant design, in combination with
the advanced technology of the
HAVER -Hydro-Clean system, you
now have at your disposal plant
technology that is setting new
standards. Compact plant engineering in an area where space is tight
