My Blended Family

her should be her father who is the granddad that is heavyset hald bald down the middle, and has a beard. Both his
beard and hair are white, and her sister should be beside him all on the right side by her dad (the 3 of them are dark
skinned).. on the left side of me. should be the 4 kids (22,20,19,16) and the dad is holding the 2 year old right, my
mom who is the grandmother who does not look old is a lighter brown than the darker skinned 3 people, my brother
who is 15 is light skinned, my father inlaw with the white hair and no beard and slinder, then it should be the aunt
and her fiancé.. i dont care where you position the grandparents , my brother,the aunt and her fiancé on the left side
of me or behind me and my husband. The main character just needs to stand out front and everyone else behind him.
The 22 year old is a sister who is light skinned, thin, tall 5’6, curly long black hair, the 20 year old is a sister who is
like 5’4 and short dreaded hair and light skinned, the 19 year old sister is brown complexion and is the same height
as the 20 year old sister, and the 16 year old brother is brown skinned and about the same height as the sister who is
22. The dad, the main character , my 15 year old brother, and me the stepmom (who is the mom of the 4 older kids
and the 2 year old) are all light skinned black, the 2 year old, 22 year old, and the 20 year old are all the same color
light skinned black but they are lighter than us. My mom (the grandmom, the 19 year old sister, and my 16 year old
son are all brown skinned and are the same color, not dark like the other ones are). My father in law, sister in law
and her finace are all a little darker than them and they are the same complextion.

to be around people that love us and will take care of us here

My dad, my mom and I are called family.
Do you know who else is in our family? I have a stepmom, sisters ,and a brother. Do you
have a stepmom? Do you have a stepdad? Do you have a sister or a brother? My older sisters and
brother have a different mom and dad. My dad, my mom, my stepmom, my siblings, my siblings dad,
and I all are a blended family. God picked my stepmom and my siblings dad to be their parents just like
he picked mine for me. I call their mom my stepmom and they call my dad their stepdad. My
stepmom loves me just as much as she loves my siblings; and my dad loves my siblings just as much as
he loves me. Now that is really special. Just like God chose our parents for us, he chose our
stepparents for us too, because he knows what is best for us. God knows what is best for you too.

God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through
Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5 NIV

Sometimes I ask myself, Why did God choose my family for me?
Why didn’t he choose a different family for me? He chose my
family for me, because he knows what I need to help me to
grow into the person he created me to be. If I picked my own
family then I may not have chosen the best one, because I am
still a child. I am learning and growing but God will always
choose what is best for me. That is why he gave me my family.

“So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need

My family is growing bigger. My dad and my stepmom just had
a baby! I am a big brother now. God picked my dad and my

stepmom to be my baby sister's parents. She does not have a
stepparent like me and my older sisters and brother, but that is
okay because we are all loved and cared for the same. We are
all a family and no matter who God chooses to be our parents,
we will always love each other and will always be there for each
other, because that is what family is about.
When you have sisters and brothers that have a different dad and mom, they are called step
parents. When you have a sister or a brother that has one of the same parent as you like the same
mom or the same dad, then they are called a halfsister or halfbrother.
In my blended family, we do not call each other step brother or sister, or half sister, or brother.
We just say brother or sister because we all love each other the same. So we are all brothers and
sisters.

A blended family
My friend Tammy lives with her stepdad and her mother, but on
the weekends she goes to live with her dad. She has two homes
just like me. My best friend Stan lives with his mom during the
school year and in the summer he goes to live with his dad. I
miss him when he is gone, but I know I will see him soon. One
of my friends lives in the same house as her mom and dad
because they do not have a blended family, they have a nuclear
family. She gets to see her siblings and parents everyday.

Sometimes when you are in a blended family you are sad

months old. She loves to play and crawl

stepmom also plays with her. We all do.

I have a new friend at school. His name
is Jalen. His family just moved here.
Jalen's family is a blended family just like
mine. He has his mom and his stepdad.
He loves his stepdad very much and they
have a lot of fun together.
Jalen's mom is having a baby. He is going
to be a big brother just like me. Jalen is
worried that his stepdad will not play
with him again when the new baby
comes and he will be left out. I told him
that will not happen and I told him all
the ways he can help out with the new
baby just like I did with my sister. He can
help play with her and keep her
company and he can carry her.

That cheered Jalen up. Now that the
baby has been born, he and his stepdad
continue spending a lot of time together.
Sometimes they spend time together
with the new baby and sometimes it's
just Jalen and his stepdad. Jalen's
stepdad loves him just as much as he
loves the new baby, just like my
stepmom loves me the same as my baby

God always gives us the best things in
life. He has chosen to put me in a
blended family with my dad, mom,
stepmom, my older sisters,brother and
my baby sister. God did not make a
mistake by giving me all these people in
my family. I love everyone in my family
