Good morning / afternoon Honorable Adjudicators, distinguished Government and


Opposition team, and the respected audiences.

Welcome to the first / second / third / fourth / fifth / octo final / quarterfinal / semifinal /
final round of ALSA LC Unpad’s E-Challenge 2019 Debating Championship. The
motion for this round is that

The general rules during the competition are:


All speakers have seven minutes for their substantial speech and four minutes for
their reply speech. The time keeper will clap or knock once (tunggu ketukan) on the
first minute to give signal that the Point of Interruption (POI) period has started.
Then, on the sixth minute, the time keeper will clap or knock once (tunggu ketukan)
to give signal that the Point of Interruption (POI) period has ended.
On the seventh minute, the time keeper will clap or knock twice (tunggu ketukan) to
give signal that the seven minutes of substantial speech has ended and will then
clap or knock continously at seven minutes twenty seconds. (ketuk2 lagi)
