Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (Humanities), is published by the
Asiatic Society of Bangladesh in June and December every year. Scholarly
articles relating to Peoples and Nature of Asia are considered for publication in
the Journal. It also receives books for reviewing.

Guidelines for Contributors
Articles to be submitted for publication in the journal should be printed, double-
spaced on one side of A4 size paper with generous margins, and should not
normally exceed 10,000 words and be sent in duplicate together with a CD in
MS Word. A quotation that will run more than fifty words should be set off as
a single-spaced, double-indented paragraph. Notes and references should be
numbered consecutively throughout and be placed at the foot of the page.
Tables should be given separate numbers in the manuscript, such as Table 1,
Table 2, etc. with running headings. Illustrations, graphs and charts should be
drawn in deep blue ink on thick drawing papers clearly and legibly within the
printing area with appropriate legends.
Notes and References should be cited as under:

DECLARATION
A manuscript which is concurrently under consideration by another journal or
press or which has been published elsewhere will not be considered for
publication in the Journal.
The author of a paper will sign a declaration to the effect that (i) the work
submitted has been written by him/her; s/he takes public responsibility for the
content of the paper; (iii) the content of the paper has not been published before
in any referred journal or has not been submitted to such journal for publication;
and (iv) s/he accords consent to the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh to publish the
paper.

Books sent to the journal for review should be given in duplicate.
