Following is the text of the dedicatory prayer of the Concepcion Chile Temple offered
by President Russell M. Nelson, on Sunday, Oct. 28.

O God, our Eternal Father, prayerfully and humbly we come before Thee in the
name of Thy Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. In this holy house, we bow in reverent
prayer to praise and honor Thee and to dedicate this edifice unto Thee for its
sacred purposes.
We are most grateful that Thou hast blessed us with resources necessary to
construct this House of the Lord. We thank Thee for faithful Saints who, in their
prosperity or in their poverty, have made sacred offerings for this holy edifice. We
thank Thee for every sacrifice of time and effort made to construct this beautiful
building.

We are grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith and for the restoration of the gospel
of Jesus Christ in these latter days. We thank Thee for the ministration of heavenly
messengers who have restored priesthood keys that make possible the salvation
and exaltation of Thy children.

We acknowledge those Chilean pioneers of faith and devotion who established the
foundation of Thy work in this beautiful country. May their names be remembered
and their legacy revered by all succeeding generations.

We pray for the families and individual members of the Church who reside in this
choice land. As they are faithful and true to the covenants they have made and will
make in this holy temple, wilt Thou prosper them and grant them the desires of
their hearts. We pray for the youth, that they may be drawn to these sacred
precincts. We pray for the children that their hearts may be turned to their fathers.
May the ordinances and covenants of salvation and exaltation be provided to all on
both sides of the veil who yearn for them.

Wilt Thou bless those who depart this temple for missionary service, that they may
go forth with power and determination to help in the gathering of Israel in
preparation for the Second Coming of Thy Beloved Son.

We pray for members of the Church who direct Thy work here on earth. We pray for
the general officers, local leaders and faithful members of Thy Church. We pray that
Thy love may sustain them according to Thy holy will for them.

We pray for the government leaders of this great nation of Chile. Dear Father,
soften their hearts and inspire their minds that this country may prosper under
their direction. We pray for the citizens of Chile. Bless them according to Thy will
for them. Strengthen those who will help to secure freedom and security for all.
Bless the members of Thy Church who reside here that they may be exemplary
citizens, with integrity and charity in all their labors.

Now, Beloved Father, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ and in the authority of the
holy Melchizedek Priesthood, we dedicate unto Thee, this, the Concepcion Chile
Temple. We dedicate the structure from the depth of its foundation to the height of
its steeple, that it may withstand the forces of nature and the ravages of time. We
dedicate each room for its sacred purpose. We dedicate the furnishings and
fixtures that they may serve their function well and give comfort and utility to those
who use them. We dedicate the grounds upon which this temple stands, with their
flowers, trees, shrubs, and grass. Thwart the hand of any who would approach
these premises with evil intent.

Dear Father, wilt Thou bless the temple presidents and matrons who will serve
here, that they may do so with Thine approbation. Bless all who serve here that
exactness and love will prevail in their efforts. Bless those who come to worship
and perform work for their departed ancestors and others. May Thy Holy Spirit
bring inspiration, comfort and joy to all who labor in this sacred edifice.
Preparations are completed for the dedication of the LDS Concepcion Chili Temple
in Concepcion, Chili on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
Holy Father, we praise and honor Thee and Thy Beloved Son. May Thy Saints here
and throughout the world fulfill their responsibilities in the gathering of Israel,
preparing a Zion people, and doing a work worthy of all acceptation.

We express unto Thee our abiding love and sincere gratitude as we dedicate unto
Thee, this, the Concepcion Chile Temple, in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

El texto a continuación es la oración dedicatoria del Templo de Concepción Chile,

ofrecida por el Presidente Russell M. Nelson, el domingo 28 de octubre de 2018.

Oh Dios, nuestro Padre Eterno, en oración y humildad venimos ante Ti en el nombre de

Tu Hijo Amado, Jesucristo. En esta Santa Casa, nos inclinamos en reverente oración
para alabarte y honrarte y para dedicarte este edificio a Ti para sus propósitos
sagrados.
Estamos muy agradecidos de que nos hayas bendecido con los recursos necesarios
para construir esta Casa del Señor. Te damos gracias por los santos fieles que, en su
prosperidad o en su pobreza, han hecho ofrendas sagradas para este edificio sagrado.
Te agradecemos por cada sacrificio de tiempo y esfuerzo realizado para construir este
hermoso edificio.
Estamos agradecidos por el Profeta José Smith y por la restauración del Evangelio de
Jesucristo en estos últimos días. Te agradecemos por la ministración de mensajeros
celestiales que han restaurado las llaves del sacerdocio, que hacen posible la salvación
y la exaltación de tus hijos.
Reconocemos a los pioneros chilenos de la fe y la devoción que establecieron la base de
Tu obra en este hermoso país. Que sus nombres sean recordados y su legado sea
venerado por todas las generaciones por venir.

Oramos por las familias y los miembros individuales de la Iglesia que residen en esta
tierra elegida. A medida que sean fieles y leales a los convenios que han realizado y
harán en este santo Templo, los harás prosperar y les concederás los deseos de sus
corazones.
Oramos por los jóvenes, para que sean atraídos a estos recintos sagrados. Oramos por
los niños para que sus corazones se vuelvan a sus padres. Que las ordenanzas y los
convenios de la salvación y la exaltación sean provistos a todos en ambos lados del velo
para quienes los anhelan.
Para que bendigas a los que salen de este Templo para el servicio misional, para que
puedan salir con poder y determinación para ayudar en el recogimiento de Israel en
preparación para la Segunda Venida de tu Amado Hijo.
Oramos por los miembros de la Iglesia que dirigen tu obra aquí en la tierra. Oramos
por los oficiales generales, líderes locales y miembros fieles de Tu Iglesia. Oramos para
que Tu amor los sostenga de acuerdo con Tu santa voluntad hacia ellos.
Oramos por los líderes gubernamentales de la gran nación de Chile. Querido Padre,
suaviza sus corazones e inspira sus mentes para que este país pueda prosperar bajo su
dirección.
Oramos por los ciudadanos de Chile. Bendícelos según Tu voluntad hacia ellos.
Fortalece a aquellos que ayudarán a asegurar la libertad y la seguridad para todos.
Bendice a los miembros de Tu Iglesia que residen aquí para que puedan ser
ciudadanos ejemplares, íntegros y caritativos en todas sus labores.
Ahora, Amado Padre, en el sagrado nombre de Jesucristo y por la autoridad del
santo Sacerdocio de Melquisedec, dedicamos a Ti, este, el Templo de Concepción
Chile.
Dedicamos la estructura desde la profundidad de su cimiento hasta lo alto de su
torre, para que pueda soportar las fuerzas de la naturaleza y los estragos del
tiempo. Dedicamos cada salón para su sagrado propósito.
Dedicamos los muebles y accesorios para que puedan cumplir bien su función y
brindar comodidad y utilidad a quienes los utilizan. Dedicamos los terrenos
sobre los cuales se encuentra este Templo, con sus flores, árboles, arbustos y
pasto. Frustra la mano de cualquiera que se acerque a estas premisas con mala
intención.
Querido Padre, para que bendigas a los Presidentes y obreras del Templo que servirán
aquí, para que puedan hacerlo con Tu aprobación.
Bendice a todos los que sirven aquí para que la exactitud y el amor prevalecerán en sus
esfuerzos. Bendice a aquellos que vienen a adorar y realizan las obras por sus
ancestros difuntos y otros. Que Tu Espíritu Santo traiga inspiración, consuelo y gozo a
todos los que laboran en este edificio sagrado.
Santo Padre, te alabamos y honramos a Ti y a Tu Amado Hijo. Que Tus Santos aquí y
en todo el mundo cumplan con sus responsabilidades en la reunión de Israel, preparen
a un pueblo de Sión y realicen un trabajo digno de toda aceptación.
Te expresamos nuestro amor perdurable y nuestra sincera gratitud mientras que
dedicamos a Ti, este lugar, el Templo de Concepción Chile, en el sagrado nombre de
Jesucristo, amén.
