Assignment Title: Q1 Mid Unit Resume


Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to score a 95% or higher in all my assessments and sore a “5” in the statement of
focus category. I want to stay in topic my entire paper and use enough textual evidence with my minimal grammar.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?


The purpose of this assignment was to have a resume for a job you wanted to apply for after high school.
Although, I am going to college it is good to have experience with doing a resume and a cover letter. When
I’m going into college and I have the opportunity to apply for an internship, having a resume can help me too.
Then after college when I start looking for a job within my field, I already have the background knowledge
and more references for my resume.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I think that I did well but also it was challenging it was easy to put in the things in the format, but it was hard
to think back to all the things I have accomplished through out my 4 years of high school. Also, thinking
about the other things have done outside of high school. The challenging things were to make sure the cover
letter and the resume had all the components so I could receive good grades.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I think I did well in the part where I had to list my skill and abilities. For example, I said that I was honest
bilingual and a team player those things I can list off the top of my head.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?


I chose to revise thing writing piece because I know I could get a better score than last semester. Last
semester I got a 90%. I want to get a higher grade also; I want to the people to see in my portfolio that I
worked hard to get a good grade. I want my classmates and teacher to see that I have developed more skills in
my writing and abilities.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
What I would do better in my next assignment will be that I will work harder, and time manage. I think my
biggest issue is that I postpone my assignments and then I want to do everything last minute. That is what
makes my grades go down.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
No, I did not achieve my goal. I will achieve my goal by asking my teacher for more help and try to look up
the definitions of the words if I need too. Instead of just not caring as much as I need to.

3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.


4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.
