Updated Vcda Sight Reading Assessment Rubric 2018

The rubric assesses music ensembles on sight reading performance in five categories: 1. Accuracy of pitches and intonation, ranging from the entire ensemble consistently performing pitches correctly to the ensemble being unable to sing correct pitches. 2. Accuracy of rhythms and tempo, ranging from the entire ensemble consistently performing rhythms correctly and maintaining the tempo to the ensemble being unable to perform rhythms correctly. 3. Procedure adherence, ranging from students and teachers always adhering to established guidelines to students and teachers not adhering to established guidelines. 4. The adjudicator provides notes on the performance and signs the rubric.
