Common Application form for all the five-year Integrated M.Sc. Programmes in Software Systems / Data
Science / Decision and Computing Sciences / Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning#.
M.Sc. PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. SOFTWARE SYSTEMS A Pass in HSC/equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics
and Chemistry as the subjects of study.
2. DATA SCIENCE However, Candidates (other than SC/ST) with an aggregate
of 80% and above in Mathematics and Physics or
3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
AND MACHINE LEARNING# Mathematics and Computer Science only need to apply.

4. DECISION AND A Pass in HSC / equivalent exam with one subject from each
COMPUTING SCIENCES of the following categories A and B as two of the four subjects
of study.
CATEGORY A-Mathematics/ Business Mathematics / Statistics
CATEGORY B-Physics / Commerce / Economics / Accountancy
/ Computer Science
However, Candidates (other than SC/ST) with an aggregate
of 80% and above in the two subjects, one from each of the
above two categories of subjects only need to apply.

 Eligible candidates of Science stream can apply to all M.Sc. (Software Systems / Data Science /
Decision and Computing Sciences / Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning#) Programmes.
 Eligible candidates of Commerce stream can apply only to M.Sc. Decision and Computing
Sciences Programme.
Selection Procedure:
1. Registered Candidates kindly refer college website for CIT-M.Sc-Common Entrance Test (CIT-
MSc-CET) date. Date will also be intimated through mail/post.
2. Only Shortlisted candidates will be informed and called for an Interview at CIT, Coimbatore.
3. Fees : Rs 65,500/- per Semester - and Admission Fee(one time) : Rs. 4000/-
Selection Criteria :
Selection is based on the performance in Board Exam, Entrance Test and Interview.
How to Apply
 Application form can be downloaded from the website www.cit.edu.in from the date of
publication of HSC results upto May 20th 2019.
 Submit the legibly filled in application form along with Registration fee of Rs. 1000/- in the
form of a demand draft drawn in favor of “THE PRINCIPAL, COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF
TECHNOLOGY” payable at “COIMBATORE”.
 Submission Address: The Principal, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Civil Aerodrome Post,
Coimbatore -641014.
 Last Date for submission of the filled in Application Form is May 20th 2019.
 Incomplete Applications will not be registered.
 Enclose Attested Photocopy of Community Certificate and 12th Mark sheet.
