Learning Objectives:
1. Students will know the anatomy of a guitar and its part in music history
2. Students will learn elements of guitar playing specifically chords and strumming rhythms
3. Students will demonstrate their learning in the form of a group performance

Session 1
To highlight important parts in guitar anatomy and names of strings 15 mins Students will first be given a 15min introduction to the parts of

Session 3

10 to learn the steps:

To demonstrate strumming grooves which change a song’s dynamics. 15 mins Students to be shown demonstration of 3 different strumming
patterns which exhibits different dynamics will be carried out:

Session 5
To introduce simple 4-chord songs which uses the chords in the G and 15 mins Students will listen to 2 songs which uses the G and C Family

20 mins Students to be clustered into groups of 5 – 10 to apply what
has been taught and practice their chosen songs
15 mins Selected students to come up to present the songs they have
practiced
Session 6
To review and conduct theory and practical evaluation. 15 mins Students will first be given a 15min quiz and survey based on
the previous lessons.
30 mins Next, students will be clustered into groups of 5 - 10 to practice
a given practical test piece and evaluated as a group.
15 mins Conduct a short prize presentation for best Guitar Knowledge,
best Guitar Player, and Best Attitude
