TUTORIAL NOTES

Unit: HPE1202 Sport: Football Week: 2 Date: 12/09/2016

British Bulldogs:

Students must run from one side of the square to the

other without being tagged. Two students start off as
the British bulldogs (the taggers). If a student is
tagged while running through the square they
become a British bulldog fro the next round.
Students keep running from one side to the other
until the last two students are left they become the
new taggers for the next game.

Octopus:

Students must run from one side of the square to the

other without being tagged. One student starts off as
the Octopus. If a student is tagged while running
through the square they must stop where they were
tagged and become seaweed, seaweed can only lean
side to side when trying to tag students they cannot
move from their spot. Students keep running from
one side to the other until the last two students are
left they become the new taggers for the next game.

Eliminator (Golden egg):

Students all start with a football in their hands.

Two students will be selected to be the taggers.
The taggers must knock other students balls away
rom them. Students must roll and tap their
footballs around and avoid the taggers. Once a
tagger knocks the ball away students must sit on
their ball until the game ends.

Handball dodge:

Students must run from one side of the square to the

other without being hit by a football. The taggers on
the sides of the square must handball the footballs at
the students running in the square. The ball must hit
below the waist for it to count as elimination. Once a
student has been hit by the football they must move
to the side and join in on eliminating the lasting
students.

Go ball (revenge):

The student at the front will receive a handpass from

their partner and will pivot around and kick as far as
they can on their preferred foot.
The student who handpassed the ball will then chase
the football down and return the ball.
The student who kicked the ball will complete, as
many push up’s, sit-ups or star jumps as they can
before their partner returns.
The pairs will then switch positions and complete
the opposite role to what they started with.

Kick tennis:

Students will spread themselves out in their team’s

square. The teacher will choose one team for each
game to start with the football. The team with the
ball will kick the ball somewhere into the opposition
teams square, aiming to hit the ground to earn a
point. If the football is marked it is no point to the
kicking team, if the ball is dropped or does hit the
ground inside of the square a point is rewarded. If
the ball lands outside the zone or in the no man’s
zone in the middle of the two zones it is no point and
a turn over.

Set goal kicking:

Students will line up behind one of the four cones.

Students will then have a shot at goal from the cone
they are on; if they kick the goal or miss they move
to the next cone to the right. Once all students have
had two shots from each cone a competition may be
started from the each other.

Mark and goal kicking:

Students will line up on the goal line; two students

will lead out at the captain of their team at one time.
The captain will kick to the forward in the partners.
The forward will mark and kick a goal. The defender
will just run behind the forward and man the mark.

Western Derby:
Students will line up behind the respective cone for
their team (Fremantle on the left and West coast on
the right). A leader from each group will be on a
second cone in front of the cone. The leader will
handball the football to one of their teammates
running off the cone, the student will receive the ball
and then kick a gaol on the run.

Football baseball:

Students fielding will spread out around the

diamond field (baseball designed field).
The batting team will kick the footy as far as they
can an then run to either the first, second, third or
home base. If students make it to the home base it is
a run. If the fielding team marks the kick the kicker
is out. After three outs or 10 runs in a row the teams
switch places (kicking team become fielding team
and vice versa).
