Dear Students / Scholars,

Sub: Fees Circular for Jul-Nov 2019 Semester – reg.

Following are the fees structure for Jul-Nov 2019 semester. The students/scholars are
required to pay as noted against their fees category as per schedule given in Annexures.

 Indian Nationals (for current students/scholars) → Annexure-I

 Foreign Nationals (for current students / scholars) → Annexure-II
 Indian / Foreign Nationals (for new students / scholars to be admitted in Jul-
Nov 2019)→ Annexure-III

 All the students / scholars (including HTTA/HTRA students / scholars) have to pay
their semester fees directly through online as per PDF fee table applicable to the
category of the students/scholars concerned.
 Dual degree students (2015 & earlier Batch) have to pay M.Tech fees from 9th
semester onwards.
 Students/Scholars are permitted to pay the Institute fees in installments
however full fees has to be paid on or before 30th September 2019.
 The last date for payment of Hostel Fees is 30th July 2019.

 Day Scholars have to pay Gymkhana Fees, Establishment ‘A’ Charges &
Medical Insurance in Hostel Payment portal mentioned above.
The procedure for fee payment for Jul-Nov 2019 semester is enumerated below for
guidance:

Click the link – ‘Academic Fee Payment Portal’ at https://www.iitm.ac.in/academics to pay the
INSTITUTE fee using any bank Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
1. Once you enter the roll number, verify the Name and Date of Birth displayed on screen.
2. Please check the ‘Fee structure’ PDF fee table and enter the appropriate amount for Tuition
fees and Other fees applicable to the category to which you belong
3. You will see a message on screen confirming successful payment. You can also confirm the
payment if you are on campus through https://workflow.iitm.ac.in/student, by following the
'PaymentHistory' link. (The new finance transaction portal is similar to what you use for irctc)
Note: If the transaction fails and money is deducted from your account, then please wait 3 to 5
working days for money to be credited back to your account. If the money is not credited
automatically, then contact accounts section at [email protected] with your Roll number, Name
and Transaction ID.

+ - a) SC/ST/PwD students are exempted from payment of tuition fee irrespective of their parental income
b) The most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per
annum) shall get full remission of the fee.
c) The other economically backward students (whose family income is less than
Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakhs per annum) shall get remission of 2/3 rd of the tuition fee.
d) All the students shall have access to interest free loan under Vidyalaxmi scheme
for the total portion of the tuition fee payable
