1. prepare windows sp1 x86 or x64 as an administrator, UAC off.
- for Xentry Diagnostic Passthru use x64 only
- for XDOS, you can use x86(32bit) or x64

2. Mount Xentry XDOS iso or Xentry Passthru iso to virtual drive. Run "start.exe"

3. copy xentry missing pictures

4. install old keys loader for configassist

purpose: to make configassit accept keys from old xentry/das developer keygen ( it is called 'old
keys'). Select according to your win OS.

copy dll file to:

for x86 32bit

c:\windows\system32

for x64 64bit

c:\windows\SysWOW64

then

double click:
for windows x86 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 32bit.reg"

fox windows x64 "old key loader for configassist or startkeycenter 64bit.reg"

and click "yes" to upload it to the registry. with this, now old key can be accepted by xentry.

5. Run configassyst to enter Xentry license key

6. Prevents xentry's key deleted and get "no access authorization code" when diagnosing while
online.

copy file lic_key_2.dat from c:\programdata\licdir to c:\program files (x86)\mercedes-
benz\xentry\bin

so when starting it will be copying this license file to the place where it actually checks and it will be
fine

I. Standalone Startkeycenter
if you somehow need startkeycenter beside configassist, here is
standalone startkeycenter.
purpose: adds das developer key, wis standalone key and of course can add xentry key.
for old keys keygen, use the old keys loader

- make a shortcut to desktop and name it D A S
- change the icon to das icon

IV. DAS Simulation

EDIT (Reason: it is better to make a new file and let the original untouch)
purpose: to add das simulation
notes:
- copy das standalone to das\bin and it has to be named DAS32R2sd.exe
- extract and copy the simdasa.bat in das\bin with this file
- make a shortcut to desktop and name it DAS SIM
- change the icon das sim icon

V. DAS Ignition On/Off enabler

purpose: after coding or offline programming, DAS asks to ignition the vehicle off.
1. you do ignition vehicle off, but DAS is not recognized it and still asks ignition off.
2. when you want to use the floating menu on/off, and it is grey.

Solution:
A. The old way (grandpa way):
you have to edit with notepad, file global.sim in
c:\ProgramData\Mercedes-Benz\csd\writefil\sim
[GLOBAL]
IGNITION=ON

change
ignition from on to off vice versa. You can make two batch file and place it in the desktop
ignition on.bat
ignition off.bat

VI. Fix "WIS is not available on this system" error when click F6 in DAS
purpose:
if you click F6 in DAS then you get "WIS is not available on this system" error, you have to

apply this fix to get the help documents in wis

Notes:
1. please run wisnet BEFORE running xentry.
2. this fix for PKW, for transporter and smart, the fix is the same but apply to transporter and smart
folder in DAS.

VII. Eliminate the printing of all the AddOns in DAS report file

"Supporting
i quote this from Albert Jackson. He gave a good tip:

documentation makes for an easy Sale"

purpose:
when print QuickTests, all AddOns always show up on the bottom of every page on the Quicktest
when it's printed.
In Xentry only the first page shows the update numbers, as opposed to DAS, prints it on every
page.
This fix is to eliminate the printing of all the AddOns in those QuickTest's reports.

This is my fix for that obstacle:

XIV. Adding 204 in DAS STANDALONE

purpose: Add 204 in DAS Standalone. You can do variant coding in development menu with
language (in Deutsch) that are more friendly than vediamo, or adaptation or actuation that are
password protected in 204 xentry. I 'facelift' the menu and delete a disturb file compare to the one
which floating around. The disturbed file causes 'data missing' error in diagnostic DAS vehicles that
are missing definition because of the use of older def file.

Since Xentry 12/16 there is a new system to teach in Smart keys (BR 451 and BR 454). You don't
have the TAN input to teach in again. Smart TAN Calculator and the old csdsmart solution don't
work anymore

Now you have to log in to daimler server. While Smart 450, 452 don't go online and also do not
need TAN codes.
This fix is able to teach in program key transponder key Offline & don't need TAN codes too for
Smart SAM451 & ETACS454.
