• Develop and implement lesson plans for a self-contained class of 15 students from sixth to eighth grade with a range of
disabilities including Autism, Intellectual Disability, Speech and Language Impairment, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and
Auditory/Visual Processing Disorders.
• Create goals for each students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) and differentiates activities and instruction in order

• Led a group of 3 children, all aged 10-12, including one non-verbal child with severe Autism and two “Peer Buddies” who
were instructed on social skills and how to work as a team
• Trained the “Peer Buddies” on the important social skills and how to work with their partner in developing those skills
• Led group games, water activities, reptile shows, and other camp activities for the children

Peer Leader at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church: 2011 – 2014


• Attended planning meetings every Tuesday (in February and October) in preparation for the 2 annual retreats along with
other meetings throughout the summer to plan events and prepare for the upcoming year of Confirmation classes
• Led a group of 5-8 in multiple retreats and helped the students by engaging them in the activities, helping them with food,
answering questions, and listening to their issues regarding life and religion
• Served as part of Kitchen Crew for multiple retreats – cooked and served meals to all the students and leaders, as well as
creating mini skits and performances for viewing during meals
