This document covers all selects who are identified as potential Orbit Shifters and those who are
converted to Orbit Shifters based on their performance.

3. BU allocation at the time of entry
I. Profiling: The potential Orbit Shifters update their profiles to EE Team for sharing with
Business
II. Interaction with Business Units : The associates are interviewed by the respective BU Teams
III. If the associates do not clear the first 2 interviews, they are converted to a regular trainee
status and are asked to join the regular ELT track.
IV. Project Allocation: Once they clear the BU interview they should wait for the allocation to
complete and join BU
V. Orbit Shifters are expected to adapt to any domain/technology they are allocated to
VI. If there is re-location, they have to buy their tickets and reimburse later following the below
guidelines

4. Confirmation Appraisal Process
Confirmation Appraisal is a process run in the system after the completion of the relevant probation
period for the associate(s). The Confirmation process as per the role on joining will apply.
5. Separation- Orbit shifters are removed from the program in the following circumstances
I. Interview clearance – A potential orbit shifter is converted to a regular trainee if he/she
does not clear at least two BU interviews
II. Location constraint – All Orbit Shifters come with location flexibility. If at any point an Orbit
Shifter refuses to move to project location he/she can be removed from the program
III. Project Allocation – If at any point an Orbit Shifter refuses to work for the project allocated
to him/her, the EE team can exclude them from the Program
IV. Behavioral Issues – If the BU Team and the EE team agree that there have been behavioral
issues the Orbit Shifter is given a formal warning and if the behavior persists, is removed
from the program.
V. Exit from company – Associates do not continue the benefits of an Orbit Shifter upon exit
and re-joining.
