1. How do you load dg cargo?


2. What do you know about international grain code? What are the stability criteria for grain ship?
3. What are the different lashings for grain cargo? Asked about shifting boards and to draw
strapping and lashing.
4. How do you load bulk cargo as per IMSBC code?
5. What are the plans that you will prepare prior to a docking survey? Contents of capacity plan.
6. Maintanence of LSA equipments as a chief officer
7. How do you carry out maintanence of lifeboat davit?
8. What is screw race? Which is more prominent – screw race or transverse thrust?
9. What do you know about interaction? Gave 2 ship models.
10. Marpol annex 6. What do you know about it?
11. Gave a stage and asked to rig it. Then asked about all 3 stoppers. Limitation of west country
stopper. Why chain stopper is against the lay?
12. Running moor.
13. Draw a positive stability curve and mark it. What is angle of downflooding?
14. What is angle of loll? How do you correct it?
15. Draw a mid latitude depression and the weather associated with it.
16. You are Chief Officer on bridge and collision happens. Actions.
17. How do you carry out hot work in an accommodation cabin?

Well, that’s about it..he said to book and meet him after 2 weeks. Asked me to prepare again for ship
handling and seamanship. He did not ask about ISM, ISPS, IAMSAR, STCW, MLC, BA checks, ROR or
bouyage.
