SCHOOL DRRM ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT


SY 2018-2019
I.Introduction
The Philippines is prone to multiple hazards. These are natural and human-induced hazards.
Department of Education recognize that disasters deprive children of their rights to a continuous quality
basic education in a safe environment. Reducing disaster risks confronting the education sector is
paramount to the achievement outcomes, namely: access, quality, and governance. Building the
resilience of education by advancing school safety.
In accordance with this thrust, DepEd has created the Comprehensive DRRM in Basic Education
Framework, which underscores the following three pillars or areas of focus:1.) Safe Learning Facilities;
2.) School Disaster Management; 3.) DRR in Education. The ongoing implementation of these pillars is
aligned with DepEd’s commitment to the four thematic areas of the Philippine DRRM Act of 2010,
otherwise known as RA 10121. These areas are Preventive and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response,
Recovery and Rehabilitation.

II.Objectives
At the end of the school year 2018-2019, the pupils are expected to:
1. Know the School hazards and risks.
2. Know the Legal Basis.
3. Know the Three Pillars.
4. Apply in real life situation what to do during and after an earthquake.

III.Accomplishments
A. Pupils Development and Management
1.Pupils have an orientation about the school hazards and risks.
2.Conduct School Watching Team.
3.Attend and cooperate about 1st, 2nd, 3rdand 4thNational Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.
4.Conduct school fire safety awareness seminar and fire/exit drill.

B. Staff Development
1.Explain to their pupils about school hazards at risks at respective subjects.
2.Attend and cooperate about 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th NSED.
3.Create an organizational chart about School DRRM Team.
4. Conduct school fire safety awareness seminar and fire/exit drill.

C. Curriculum Development
1.Prepared all different visual aids and power point presentationabout natural hazards and
human –induced hazards.
2.Provide hazards map,evacuation plan, and pictures of natural & human-induced hazards.
3.Conduct watching checklist, School Disaster Readiness & Resilience Checklist, School Site
Assessment Checklist, and School Building Safety Checklist.

D. Special Programs and Projects


>Conduct Post Evalutionabout 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th NSED.
>Conduct School Fire Safety Awareness Seminar and Fire/Exit Drill.
E. Physical Facilities Development
1.Provide the safety area for the childrens.
2.Provide School DRRM Bulletin Board.

IV.General Administration
A. Problems Encountered
1.Lack of Fire alarm.
2.Sickness such as fever and flu.
3.Concreting of fence not yet finish due to lack of budget.

B. Recommendations
1.School should provide the Fire alarm.
2.Seminars of all teachers and pupils about First Aid and Fire Drill at school,district and division.
