MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
This Memorandum of Agreement made and executed by and between:
PILGRIM CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, a non-stock, non-profit
educational institution, with its school campus located in Corner
Capistrano-Akut Streets, Barangay 16, Cagayan de Oro City,
represented herein by the Internship Coordinator, Eleno O.
Buray Jr., CPA, MM, Filipino Citizen, and hereinafter referred to
as the “PARTNER SCHOOL”;
GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES, a non-
government office duly organized and existing under and by
virtue of the laws of the Philippines, Velez-Gaerlan, Cagayan de
Oro City, hereinafter referred to as “COMPANY”;
WITNESSETH: That,
WHEREAS, the State, pursuant to Sec. 1, Article I of the CHED Memorandum Order 23, the
Commission on Higher Education is mandated to develop and promote policies, systems,
procedures and programs that address globalization, changing policies, and liberalization of
trade in goods and services. CHED shall require student exchange and establishment by HEIs
of string academic linkages with business and industry to promote and provide students with
competitive skills and attitudes for employment;
WHEREAS, COMPANY in its concern to enhance the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values
of prospective accounting professionals, has agreed to provide corporate training to the
students of the School of Business and Accountancy of the Pilgrim Christian College in the
form of actual exposure in the accounting department of the company;
WHEREAS, PARTNER SCHOOL has instituted the Internship Program, under which students
of the School of Business and Accountancy shall undergo a Compilation Service Internship
(CSI) at GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES as part of the school’s effort to
adequately expose its students to actual work situations, and to enable them to acquire the
necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values of a competitive accountant;
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereto
have agreed as follows:
1. PROGRAM: The Program shall be designated as the Internship Program and
the student/s covered therein shall be known as the Interns.
1.1 INTERNS. The following student has duly applied and had been
accepted by the company as intern:

2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES:
2.1 COMPANY:
1. Ensure that students undergo training related to their course,
and provide the student interns with work or activities that are
varied and challenging;
2. Provide students with an orientation about the company and
about the job;
3. Assign an immediate supervisor who will monitor and discuss
the performance of the student interns, every month end, for
the duration of the Compilation Service Internship and
coordinate with Pilgrim Christian College the various activities
under this program and other matters related to internship;
4. Ensure a safe and conducive working environment for the
student interns;
5. Accomplish the monthly and term-end evaluation form and
discuss the results of the performance evaluation with the
student interns;
2.2 PARTNER SCHOOL:
1. Recommend students who will undergo internship under the
Compilation Service Internship (CSI) Program after going
through the usual selection process of GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES;
2. Designate a faculty coordinator and/or faculty adviser who will
coordinate with GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES
on the various activities under this program and other matters
related to the internship;
3. Together with the students, faculty, and parents concerned,
renounce and waive any claim against GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES for any injury or loss that the student
intern may sustain or may suffer, personal or pecuniary, in the
performance of their duties and functions while under training
not attributable to the negligence or willful act of any of the
personnel of GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES.
3. OTHER PROVISIONS:
3.1 It is expressly understood that there will be no employer-employee
relationship between GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES
and the student interns of Pilgrim Christian College;
3.2 The student interns will be personally responsible for any and all
liabilities for damage to property or injury to third persons, which may
be occasioned by their intentional or negligent acts while in the course
of their training;
3.3 Pilgrim Christian College through the faculty advisers shall see to it that
the student interns complete the agreed scope of work within the
agreed duration of the program;
3.4 It is expressly understood by Pilgrim Christian College, and the student
interns that all information on matters that GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES shall make available to them shall be used for
the sole purpose of student training. All of these matters are classified
as confidential in nature and proprietary to GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES and the student intern hereby undertake to
prevent transfer of such information by any of its members to any
party outside of GIP ACCOUNTING AND CONSULTING SERVICES
without the knowledge and written consent of GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES.
3.5 This agreement shall hold for the duration of the 2018-2019 Academic
School Year of Pilgrim Christian College, and is automatically
renewable every year, provided that GIP ACCOUNTING AND
CONSULTING SERVICES and Pilgrim Christian College reserve their
respective rights to withdraw their participation in the agreement
upon written notice.
3.6 All notices, requests, and other communication under or in connection
with this Memorandum of Agreement shall be made in writing and
sent to the respective Parties at the following address specified or
such address as the Parties may notify each other from time to time;

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Memorandum of Agreement through
their duly authorized representatives on JANUARY 2018 and in Capistrano Street, Philippines.
