1. Up to 5 keys can be "registered"
2. You will receive the "fail" message if you try to program an existing key that is already stored within the
Immobiliser control unit.
3. The immobiliser control unit is located around the key barrel and uses 2 fused feeds, one directly from the fuse
box and one indirectly from the engine control unit.
4. Communication is on pins 7 (blue) and 9 (Yellow) of the diagnostic socket (engine and immobiliser)
5. There are two earth points for the immobiliser circuit (pin 4 of the immobiliser control unit, splits into two
wires) and they are on the steering column support and in the O/S kick panel.
6. If your get an ERROR message during programming, this can be caused by the number of keys already
programmed being the maximum allowed (5 is maximum). Clear the existing keys before programming the new keys
will overcome this.
SUZUKI CAN/PROX
1. Up to 4 keys can be "registered"
2. The remotes need to be programmed manually.
3. At the end of the procedure start the vehicles using the actual key to complete the programming procedure

If remote controller or keyless start control module is replaced with a new one or additional remote controller is
necessary, register ID code(s) of remote controller.
1) Sit in driver seat and close all doors.
2) Check that door lock of driver seat is unlocked.
3) Insert ignition key (1) into ignition key cylinder.
4) Perform Steps (a) through (f) described blow within 25 seconds after Step (3).
a) First push manual door lock switch toward lock side and then push it toward unlock side.
b) Repeat Step a) 2 more times.
c) Push lock side of manual door lock switch.
d) Remove ignition key from ignition key cylinder once and then insert it again.
e) Repeat Step d) 3 more times.
f) Start engine and wait for 3 seconds.
5) Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
When ignition switch is turned to OFF position, buzzer sounds twice and door lock is activated from lock position to
unlock position. This operation indicates that keyless start control module has entered registration mode.
6) Push lock or unlock button of remote controller within 30 seconds after Step 5) to be registered.
When lock or unlock button of remote controller is pushed, buzzer sounds twice, door lock is activated to lock position
and then to unlock position. This operation indicates that remote controller ID code has been registered in keyless
start control module. If an additional remote controller needs to be registered, repeat the procedure of Step 6) within
30 seconds after Step 5).
7) To end registration mode, remove ignition key from ignition key cylinder or turn it to ON position.
In case of vehicle equipped with immobilizer control system, if engine start function of keyless start system does not
work after registration, check ECM if DTC P1615 is detected. If it is detected, go to DTC P1615: Steering Lock Unit
Communication Error. If it is not detected, perform registration procedure again.

Procedure
1. Switch ignition OFF and close all doors.
2. Open drivers door and switch ignition on
3. Switch ignition OFF
4. Press and release drivers door ajar switch 3 times
5. Switch ignition ON and then OFF
6. Press and hold each button of the remote in turn for 5 seconds each
7. Central locking should activate
8. Press remote control lock button
9. Maximum of 2 remotes possible

If a remote or BCM (included in junction block assembly) is replaced with a new one or
additional remote(s) is necessary, program remote code(s).
Procedure
1. Confirm that all doors are closed and ignition key is out of ignition key cylinder.
2. Open driver side door.
3. Turn ignition switch to ON position, and then remove ignition key from ignition key
cylinder within 10 seconds after that.
4. Push and release driver side door switch (1) at 3 times by hand within 20 seconds after removing ignition key
from ignition key cylinder.
5. Turn ignition switch to ON position, and then drawn ignition key from ignition key cylinder within 10 seconds
after that. All doors automatically lock and unlock once. With this, registration mode.
6. Push “UNLOCK” button (2) on transmitter (3) within 20 seconds after Step 5. All doors automatically lock and
unlock once. With this, code registration is completed.
7. If an additional transmitter, needs to be programmed repeat the procedure of Step 1.

Procedure
1. Confirm that IG switch is OFF position.
2. Remove DOOR LOCK fuse and install it again.
3. Press the button on the remote one time toward the receiver within 30 sec
4. If two transmitters are registered, repeat step 1) to 3) with other remotes
Notes: a. Two transmitter codes can be registered.
b. When a 3rd/new remote is registered, the oldest one will be cleared.

2 Insert ignition key (emergency blade) into ignition
3 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to lock

5 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to lock
6 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to unlock
7 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to lock
8 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to unlock
9 Press door locking switch (in the driver’s door panel) to lock
10 Remove the key from ignition
11 Insert key in ignition
12 Remove the key from ignition
13 Insert key in ignition
14 Remove the key from ignition
15 Insert key in ignition

17 Insert key in ignition
18 Start engine and wait for 3 seconds
19 Turn the ignition OFF
20 Buzzer sounds and door locks are activated
