The document summarizes a microscopy lab where students observed onion skin cells, cheek cells, human blood, and plant stem tissue. For the onion skin and plant stem slides, the students had difficulty focusing the microscope and saw only blurry images of scattered cells. With the cheek cells, they observed many cells and possibly a bacteria but could not see nuclei clearly. The human blood slide allowed them to see thousands of red blood cells and how they cling together. Overall, the lab helped them understand how cells work together as a team and share the same fate.

A. ONION SKIN CELLS (Plant cells)

Observations:

Overall, we didn't really saw the appearance of the onion skin due to magnification difficulties, however, what
we did observe is a blurry image of cells scattered everywhere but nowhere close to box shape cells that we
were supposed to see. We attempted two times for this experiment but the results are the same due to the
focusing of the microscope.

B. CHEEK CELLS (Animal cells)

Image 1, Scanning Lens Image 2, LPO Lens Image 3, HPO Lens

Observations:

We tried two attempts to do this, the first one failed because we broke the slidet and so we moved on to attempt
number two though we are not quite sure if this experiment was a success, we saw the cheek cells yet we
couldn't see the nucleus visibly, however, we saw a bunch of cells and perhaps a baceria that swam for a
second or so,however, it's fair to think that we could have done better with this one if it wasn't for our focusing
problems.

C. HUMAN BLOOD

Image 1, Scanning Lens Image 2, LPO Lens Image 3, HPO Lens

Observations:

This one was an interesting experiment and we only did it once, at first we succeeded on the magnification
process thus seeing what needs to be seen. We also observe hundreds or thousands of red blood cells dead on
the spot yet it still fascinating to think that by being pressed by the cover slip, they all hold onto each other so
it's kinda interesting to think that how would they look like travelling inside the human body.

D. PARENCHYMA AND SCLERENCHYMA TISSUE OF A PLANT STEM (Plant tissue)

Observations:

We only had one attempt on this one and it was by far disappointing, it had the same results as the onion skin,
just tiny cells that we couldn't even see clearly scattered everywhere and once again it was caused by focusing
problems.

INSIGHTS ABOUT THE ACTIVITY:

The activity made us understand how cells look and how cells work. Every cell has a function and each function
connects and supports everything thus their appearance is suitable for their purposes to let them work
effectively and efficiently however because they are one team, if one cell doesn't get the requirements to live
then they all share the same fate. Overall, cells work together and die together.
