This one is up there with Green Day's best albums in my opinion. If you're a fan of Green Day you
need to own this; the slight complaint I have is that it's a bit polished/poppy but it's done in a "I
don't give damn what anyone thinks" kind of way which lends a punk spirit to the melodic rock
numbers and ballads on here. You can hear influence of bands like the Kinks, the Buzzcocks, the
Who, and the Ramones and the way that the songs are arranged and performed are incredible. I
wasn't expecting much after the somewhat pretentious and hit or miss uno, dos, tre trilogy (it
would've made a solid double album but way too much filler there.). Fans from the Dookie days to
the Nimrod days to the American Idiot days will find something to appreciate here, the band have
never sounded more alive here. Definitely recommended for Green Day fans and fans of rock in
general. It's rare that a mainstream rock album is this good but these guys just keep getting better
it seems like or maybe it took getting the trilogy out of them to produce this. Grade: A

The Revolution Will Not Be Video

This is Green Day knockin' the windows out of your trailer big time and classic. The song that has
received the most radio play ("Bang Bang") is good, but must be heard in the context of the entire
album (think "American Idiot") to be properly appreciated. Another "out of the park" production by
the GD trio.

This album wears extremely well. I find myself replaying cuts in my head throughout the day, and
not just the same one or two songs. I sit down at the computer to work and tell myself I should
play something else. But then I think, why? If this is what I want to hear, then just play it! For as
long as these guys have been knocking them out of the park, they're gonna need a bigger park for
this album.

This album is solidly Green Day. Some of their albums slide closer to "pop" than what I generally
prefer (as an overall album, anyway), but this album is fantastic. It flows well from song to song.
There are some great tunes in here (that will probably make it to the radio). Bang Bang was a great
lead single, but Still Breathing was far and away the reason I bought this album. Though I remain
infatuated with Still Breathing, Revolution Radio, and Young Blood are some of the more
alternative songs and ultimately my current favorites. I do like Somewhere Now and Forever Now
(which are plays on each other) and Ordinary World, which is where the album slows down and
shows the Green Day range.This album, like many other albums and songs from Green Day, has
political overtones throughout the whole album. This culminates with Troubled Times, but can be
heard across most of the entire album.

Dookie was one of the first albums I ever listened to from start to finish and currently remains one
of my favorites albums across any and all artists. This album takes me back to how good of an
album that is. I may have come on the scene pretty early in Green Day's career, but no matter when
or why you came on to them, this will be an album you enjoy.

If there was anything good to say about 2016, it was that there was some excellent music released,
Green Day's 'Revolution Radio' being one of them! Full of catchy hooks and excellent songwriting,
'Revolution Radio' reminds me of a sonic return to their album 'Dookie', which made me a fan of
Green Day. My personal favorites off this album are "Somewhere Now", a cleverly disguised punk
power ballad that triumphs once the bridge ends and erupts into a sing-along chorus full of tight
harmonies. "Bouncing Off The Wall" will have you doing just that, caught up in it's late 90's tinged
flavor. "Bang Bang" has been slowly growing on me over time. "Forever Now, Parts I, II & III" is a
song best savored during a long drive with the windows down, which could be considered a rock
opera of sorts. 'Revolution Radio' weaves through many different styles of punk and alternative
flawlessly, and is sure to attract new fans as well.

Best album since American Idiot

Green Day is my favorite band so it's hard for me not to enjoy one of their albums, that said
Revolution Radio is an amazing album. It's a true return to form for them, back to their punk roots.
I honestly think it's their best album since American Idiot, which is my favorite album of the band. If
you're a Green Day fan you'll like this album, obviously. More importantly though, if you were a fan
of them before but didn't like the past couple albums because of the overly pop feel.... this is a
return to form for them and its definitely worth a listen.

This new album, “Revolution Radio” is a dream come true. It’s a punk band in their 40’s showing the
youngsters how it’s done. The sound is reminiscent of American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown
(2 of their best-selling albums), yet takes on new territory. From start to finish, this album
showcases the many styles of Green Day from folk (Somewhere Now) to Dance-punk (Say Goodbye)
to arena rock (Forever Now) to classic Green Day-style punk rock (Bang Bang, Too Dumb to Die, and
more). I know I have loved just about everything they have put out, and probably always will. But
this album is amazing!

Best Album of 2016

I only got into Green Day early last year. When I heard American Idiot for the first time, I knew I
found a new favorite band. Then around August of 2016 I saw they released a lyric video for a new
single. I watched the video, loved the song, and read the description that this would be on their
new album titled Revolution Radio coming out in October. I was a bit hesitant at first, but after
listening to more of the songs that they uploaded later, I was convinced. I bought the album and it
was totally worth it. I think it is their best album since American Idiot. If you are a Green Day fan,
you won't be disappointed. Even if you aren't a fan, I feel you could get more than your money's
worth of entertainment from this album.
