Transmission Oil Pump And Control Valve


SMCS - 3152; 3153-11; 3153-12

Remove Transmission Oil Pump And Control Valve As A Unit


NOTE: Transmission is shown removed for illustration purposes.

1. Remove the cover (1) for the pump and valve of the transmission.

2. Remove the cover (2) for the oil filter from the transmission. Remove the oil filter.

3. Remove the suction line (3) for the oil pump through the opening for the filter.

4. Remove the clip (4) from the oil line. Push the oil line in the housing away from valve body.

5. Remove the four bolts (5) that hold the control valve on oil manifold of the transmission.

6. Remove the oil pump and control valve from transmission as a unit.

7. Remove the lubrication relief valve (6) from the oil manifold of transmission.

Install Transmission Oil Pump And Control Valve As A Unit

1. Install the lubrication relief valve (1) in the oil manifold of the transmission with the flat side up.

2. Install the pump (2) and valve in the transmission as a unit. Install the four bolts that hold the valve
on the manifold.

NOTE: Be sure the shift lever is connected to selector valve spool when valve is installed.

3. Slide the oil line into the valve body. Install the clip (3) that holds the oil line.

4. Install the suction line for the oil pump.

5. Install the oil filter.

6. Install the cover (5) for the oil filter.

7. Install the cover (4) for the valve and pump.
