Transmission Control Valve

Disassemble Transmission Control Valve


start by:

a) remove transmission oil pump and control valve as a unit

1. Remove three bolts (1) that hold the oil pump (3) on the valve (2). Remove the pump.

2. Remove the covers (9) and (8) from the body (4).

3. Remove the spring (10) and plunger (12).

4. Remove the relief valve (5), washer, two springs (6) and load spool (7).

5. Remove the shims and ring from the load spool (7). Keep the shims and ring with the spool for
installation.

6. Remove the slug (11) and the selector spool (13).

Assemble Transmission Control Valve


1. Install the slug and selector spool in the body.

2. Put the shims and ring on the load spool. Put the small spring in the large spring. Install the springs
in the bore of the body for the relief and load spools.

3. Install the relief and load spools. Install the plunger and spring.

4. Install the covers and bolts in the valve body. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 22 ± 3 lb.ft. (3,0 ± 0,4
mkg).

5. Install the pump (1) on valve. Install the three bolts that hold the pump on the valve.

a) install transmission oil pump and control valve as a unit
