Binding Wire Consumption As Per Is Code

For every 100 kg of steel reinforcement, 0.9 to 1.3 kg of binding wire is required according to IS code, meaning 9 to 13 kg of binding wire is needed for every 1000 kg of steel. Industry practice is to use 7 to 13 kg of binding wire per ton of steel reinforcement.

BINDING WIRE CONSUMPTION AS PER IS CODE

For every quintal of steel reinforcement ( 1 quintal = 100 kg) 0.9 to 1.3kg of binding wire is
required. For 1 tonne (1000kg) = 9 to 13 kg binding wire will be required . Further as per the
industry practice the Quantity of binding wire used varies from 7 kg- 13 kg per ton of steel.
