Through the direction of Jerrold Tarog, the movie Heneral Luna in 2015 was made.

The
exceptional portrayal of the cast especially John Arcilla who played the role of Antonio Luna
explained to us Luna's love for the country. It tells about the life of Antonio Luna and also opened
the eyes of the viewers that there are certain circumstances that colonizers are not the true enemies
for us to commit freedom but the Filipinos itself who only thinks about their own advantages.

According to Emilio Aguinaldo, Heneral Luna is one of the best Generals in the Philippines in the
time of American colonization. As he was interviewed by $@&#-+/, he shared his conflicts in the
war as well as his conflicts with the cabinets of the Philippines. He does not wantto trust the
Americans and wait for the freedom to come but rather get the freedom itself. He also stated with
#&&&- that sometimes our greatest enemy is not the colonizers but our countrymen who only
thinks of themselves. A letter was sent to Luna urging him to go to Cabanatuan and met the
president but turned out as a plot to assassinate him by his own countrymen.

The title Heneral Luna speaks the movie it self, it had shown the hidden characters of Heneral
Antonio Luna. We have known Luna for being smart, strict, and authorative leader but despite all
of this his soft part was showed in the movie. He plays guitar signifies he love peace, he treated
his mother with his out most respect, he is a poet, and more importantly his outrageous love for
freedom. Thus, he is loving person for he gave everything he got even his life for the betterment of
his own country.

Heneral Luna's murderers were never found and he was deprived from justice. At the end of the
movie Buencamino and Aguinaldo denied the accusation that they are responsible for killing
Luna. Up until now there is no concrete evidence that Aguinaldo killed Luna but historians
believes that Aguinaldo made it. This belief made life to Heneral Luna's words that our greatest
enemy is ourselves and our selfishness.

Heneral Luna knows that the key to freedom is the unity of all Filipinos. Filipinos that are no to
greedy to let his countrymen suffer in the hands of the colonizers as long as they were not facing
the same fate. They say Heneral Luna is a proud person, but behind this proud facade he is a
person who dreams of a better state for all Filipinos. He showed us what patriarchy truly means.
