HOW TO OVERCOME “TIME POVERTY”

Time is something that people can lose and never get back. People are always wishing
they had more hours available in the day. Often people tend to have trouble in managing time
because they try to manage too many tasks at a time and also there are many people who just
waste their time doing nothing just because of their pure laziness. Off lately, time is becoming
one of the most valuable resources which is wasted by many people because they don't know
how to manage time. Many people in life do things which have no value to time. This is called
“time poverty” and it is the biggest single problem faced by most people today. Some experts
provide a variety way to overcome “time poverty”. There are starting with the top tasks, don’t
procrastinating time and setting our goals.
First, “Start with your top tasks” says Cory Cook, Productivity and Time Management
Expert at SmartTimer. The natural tendency is to major in minors and clear up small things first.
After all, small things are easier and they are often more fun than the big, important things that
represent the most valuable use of your time. However, the self-discipline of organized work and
focused on the highest-value tasks is the starting point of getting your time under control and
lowering your stress levels.
According to Sam Raimondi, a psychology doctoral lecturer at Fordham University, says
“do not ever procrastinate time”. When people have that much going on each day, people can’t
afford to push anything off, because it will simply get lost in the mix. If there are some
assignments or projects, completing your work early means that even if mishaps occur, they can
be fixed or sorted out before work is due. Punctuality is an important character in the world,
people need to make well use of the time that they have because time is scarce.
In her 1994 book, Thinking Smarter: Skills for Academic Success, Carla Crutsinger,
stated set goals to make an efficient time. Target goals ahead, is always good to plan the future
ahead or say prior to the assigned time in order to achieve the maximum output. Goal setting is
where the scheduled target is mapped out. It shall be preplanned to take up the top priorities and
to schedule the major pieces of thoughts in advance, making a good use of time effectively and
smartly, Delegating or getting rid of the clutter, achieving a balance is equally important.
The truth is everybody can overcome the “time poverty”. There will always be more to
add to the list and no matter how much people strategize, every day has a 24-hour limit. Time is
very crucial; people need to make the best of the time in their possession as by doing so a lot can
be achieved in their lives. Time is a limited resource means that a minute lost is hard to be return,
life is short people need to make the best of it by making every minute count, by doing so most
people can achieve their goals in life.
