Halloween Worksheet

1. Read the story below and give it a title.

_________________________________________

Every year, in the dark night of 31st October, Olivia, the Witch, and
Bony, her scary black cat, give a party in
their haunted house. As soon as the moon is
full up in the sky, they light the jack
o’lanterns and the skulls all over the house
and she puts on her big black hat and picks
her favourite broomstick.

At midnight, she is ready to make her magic

potion. With the help of her cat, she sprinkles the ingredients into her
cauldron: some pee, pumpkin juice, frog eyeballs, rat tails, hairy toes,
insects, spider webs and bat
wings. She stirs the potion with a
big wooden spoon and casts her
magic spell: “Abracadabra,
abracadabra! Let the guests in for
the party to begin!” Suddenly,
the guests pop out of the cauldron
– Dracula, the vampire, Frankenstein, four ghosts and X-ray skeletons,
an evil queen and a dark knight, a mummy and a wizard, a yeti, two
zombies and a UFO.

They’re up to have fun. Now the cat is a DJ

and spooky music plays. It’s Halloween!
