5th NATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND SEMINAR OF THE


ALLIANCE OF CONCERNED TEACHERS-PHILIPPINES

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers-Philippines (ACT-Philippines) will conduct the


5th National Leadership Training and Seminar with the theme Teachers’ Unionism in
the 21st Century from January 11 to 13, 2019 at the Baguio Teachers’ Camp, Baguio
City.

The activity aims to:

1. help further the professional growth of teacher-leaders and future teacher-


leaders from the different schools divisions nationwide, colleges, and
universities;
2. develop them to be more responsible and conscious;
3. make them aware of their benefits from and responsibilities to the different
government agencies they deal with;
4. make them aware of the present national situation and its relation to the
teachers and education situation of the country;
5. impart to them the knowledge on the proper management of their
federations and faculty clubs; and
6. educate them on the proper handling of issues and problems that may
arise within their schools and schools within their vicinity, between the
administration and teachers or among teachers themselves, between
teachers and parents or teachers and students, creating a harmonious
atmosphere and environment in the school and community.

The target participants are educators from the Department of Education, private
schools/colleges, and public and private higher education institutions.
