USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE METHOD OF INSTRUCTION, GRADING INSTRUMENTS AND SOME USEFUL HINTS.

Methods of instruction:

Sessions will consist of lectures, discussions, videos, cases and activities to enrich learning.

It is essential that you:

1. Prepare for the classes. Please read the assigned reading(s)/cases before each class. Do not let them restrict you.
2. Attend all classes. If you miss five then it’s goodbye. You fail the course, even at the end. Being late, even by a second, means
being absent. Be in class five minutes before it starts. This is our five-minute policy. Learn to run, glide or fly to get to the class
before time. OSA petitions for attendance will not be entertained.
3. Actively contribute to class discussions and activities. However, please avoid verbal garbage just for the sake of CP.
4. Thoroughly and thoughtfully complete assignments. Late deliverables, even if they are late by a second, mean you get a zero.
5. Take personal responsibility for knowing and doing what is expected
6. Don’t rely on last minute efforts to get you through
7. Don’t expect to be spoon-fed
8. Don’t ask for a relaxation in rules
9. No, you are not a victim
10. Use your cell phone in session for activities not related to the current session activity and lose ten CP points. Best of luck
digging yourself out of that hole. Repeated use will be penalized through attendance. Read the attendance policy carefully.
11. Don’t cheat or plagiarize. We mean it. It is your responsibility to cover your quizzes and protect your work. If answers match
or there is other evidence of cheating or plagiarism, it may be next to impossible for you to prove that you were not willfully
involved. Severe penalties may apply to all involved. You are not allowed to share your assignments or work with anyone
through any means.
12. There may be multiple evening guest speaker sessions or sessions on days besides Mondays and Wednesdays. It is your
responsibility to attend all sessions as they will count towards your attendance. Do not waste your quota of leaves.
13. Keep checking your emails regularly.
14. Express gratitude all around you. It will help you the most.
15. Please submit review requests for all assessment marks within forty-eight hours of posting to our Google sheet. We will not
accept later requests. You must email requests to both TAs and the instructor in order to ensure transparency.
16. Listen please. Following instructions is a very helpful skill in life.

All of the above is tentative. We will make modifications as and when needed, to better suit learning purposes.
