To create an extrusion trim around a door or window in Revit: 1) Set the family category to Casework 2) Name the family Door Trim 3) Draw the trim profile by offsetting lines from the door/window frame edge and connecting below 4) Extrude the profile along the wall plane to the specified offset distance

CREATING EXTRUSION IN A DOOR OR WINDOW

1) Architecture-Component-Model in Place

2) Family Category-Casework then click OK

3) Name it Door Trim then click ok


4) Click Extrusion

5) Pick a Plane then click OK


6) Click Wall as the Plane

7) Click the edge of the wall and pick lines and offset.
8) Specify the offset distance
9) Click the door frame edge to offset & close the lines below door.

10) Specify extrusion start and end then click apply.

11) Click Material Category.


12) Choose the material in the browser then click ok then finish mode.

13) Then click Finish model


14) Done
