Thesis Statement: Fast food Restaurants are more convenient than Traditional Restaurants because of
their accessibility, service and affordability.

They say that “Food Brings People Together”. Using the language of food, we seek to bring
people together, across age, income and culture. These moments help us make friends, find love, and
end hostility. In the Mediterranean lifestyle, this is believed to lead to a much happier and healthier life.

In order to survive, everyone needs food. Therefore, it is also safe to say that food plays a vital
role in maintaining proper health. With the invasion of fast food restaurants, are accessibility, service
and affordability enough reason to take over what is known as Traditional Food?

A lot of recent surveys find that an escalating number of people, especially young people, are
spending more time consuming fast food instead of traditional food in recent years. Fast food is a type
of food service, that offers fast, tasty, and on the go meals. It is a term given to food that can be
prepared and served very quickly. It is always within reach, anytime of the day and everywhere.
Nowadays, 24/7 delivery services are even made available. And although it is convenient and ready to
consume, it does not guarantee that it is nutritionally balanced and healthy. Fast food saves you time by
serving everything fast. This is perfect for people who are busy and have a lot going on but this does not
always entail a good service because you do not know how these were made and/or prepared. Lastly,
they are budget-friendly. If you are living alone, it is most likely that you will buy your meals from fast
food. At $5.99, McDonald’s offer a Big Mac Meal that come with Medium Fries and Soft Drink. Deals like
this make fast food enticing despite the disadvantages.

Traditional food is most commonly referred to as home-cooked meals or slow-cooked meals.

Remember that dish your mom or grandma used to cook for you when you were little? Or meals shared
at home on family day or Thanksgiving? That’s it! Unlike fast food, this is not as accessible as we’d like to
be despite of their health benefits because chemicals are lessen. If you’re not in a hurry and love
cooking, this is perfect for you. It may be time consuming, but cooking for your loved ones as they say
seals the deal for the reason that more time and effort was thrown in. It may also cost more than fast
food but it does serve more people.

Taking into consideration convenience, accessibility, service and affordability, if you are what
you eat, what’s your pick?
