Kabataan Partylist is the sole youth representative in the 18th Philippine Congress. This representation
upholds its mandate to protect and promote the rights and welfare of the youth and the Filipino people.
We believe that it is the constitutional right of the public to be adequately informed of national policies which
directly affect them. As such, proposed legislations and other measures which seek to rehabilitate the
Mandatory ROTC in the education curriculum, must also be discussed with our constituency, primarily the
youth and students who are the subjects of these measures.
With this, we intend to conduct a public consultation among students, faculty, and parents regarding
the proposed Mandatory ROTC program for Senior Highschool students on September 27. The
consultation will be used to facilitate dialogue amongst various stakeholders which shall then serve as basis for
our current lobbying in the halls of Congress.
