Overhead Electric Safe Work Method Statement: Environmental Management and Construction Plan

This document provides a safe work method statement for working near overhead power lines. It identifies potential hazards such as electric shock and electrocution. Controls include maintaining a minimum 10 foot clearance from power lines, using non-conductive tools, erecting warning signs, and contacting the utility to de-energize lines if clearances cannot be maintained. The statement outlines safety procedures for general work, working under power lines with equipment, and signage to demarcate work areas. Personnel must be trained on electrical safety before working near overhead lines.
