How to install CarMaker and other IPG software?

1. Please read the enclosed license agreement carefully. By installing the software you accept the terms
of the license agreement.
2. Log in as user with administrative privileges and extract the downloaded installation pacckage (.zip
archive). Open the executable file “ipg-install.exe” via double-click.
In case you received an installation CD, please insert it to the CD-ROM drive on your PC. If the Au-
toRun is activated, IPGInstall should start automatically. Otherwise open the executable file “ipg-in-
stall.exe” manually.
3. Follow the instructions of IPGInstall. The destination directory you have chosen at the installation (typ-
ically C:\IPG) will be further referred as <InstallationDirectory>.
4. You will find a start menu entry under “Start - Programs - IPG - <Current Version>”.

How to get a license key for CarMaker or other IPG software?


1. To obtain a license key please use the license key request form in the support area on our website
(https://ipg-automotive.com/).
2. You will receive a valid license file from the IPG Team.
3. Save this license file under “<InstallationDirectory>\etc”.
4. You can now work with the software.
5. The first working steps are shown in the “Quick Start Guide”. This is available at the menu bar “Help”
after starting the application. Please also note that we provide Video Tutorials on our webiste (https:/
/ipg-automotive.com/) which help to get started with the software.
