Guide Tones Exercise

Guide Tones Exercise taught to me by the great Phil Woods. It's the history of Western Music in an 8 bar phrase. Turnaround cycle in a major key followed by the turnaround of it's relative minor. If you get these notes in all twelve keys, you have the building blocks to build melodies and improvise and master your instrument. Make sure to read the instructions and invert the intervals in both staves. Practice these with a group and you'll all really develop quickly.
